Ultimately McCain has to win this on his own. Sarah can't do it, Rush can't do it, Sean can't do it, Freepers can't do it. He has to close the deal and I really don't think he can. If you owned a company and was looking to fill an executive position would you hire someone who sent their sister in to interview for them? I wouldn't. That is why there are 15% undecideds. A lot of people are not comfortable with Bambi for a variety of reasons, but they just can't wrap their heads around a McCain presidency. A solid Republican candidate would be up by 3-4% right now just on the anti OBama vote alone. According to the IBD poll McCain is losing 20% of conservatives and 42% of Catholics against a man who approves of PBA and allowing those fortunate children that escape to die. Face it people he's just a weak candidate. He offers voters no reason to vote for him other than he isn't the other guy. I don't think that is going to be enough which is scary considering the alternative. I am scared to death of the repercussions of an OBama presidency. I am going to hold my nose and vote for McCain, but I don't really think he will be much of a president I just think Barry will be sooooo much worse. That's sad.
Bambi has outspent McCain 30-1 in media buys, has the whole DBM in the tank for him, is the darling of the rest of the entertainment industry, is loved by the world, is articulate, young, attractive and still can't close the deal. The election is up for grabs, but McCain has to win it we can't do it for him nor can any of his surrogates. 300M people, the country faced with a major financial/economic crisis, two shooting wars and an undeclared international war on terror and these two are the best we can do, pathetic and terrifying.
