The Gaystapo thugs are becoming desperate. With Proposition 8 steaming ahead in the polls, they've resorted to thuggery to try to stop its momentum. So far nothing the NO on 8 side has done has helped. Just the opposite.

Wait a minute.

Aren’t “Opponents of Gay Marriage” voting YES on 8?

The opponents have the best commercial. If the thing passes, Gavin Newsome should get 51% of the blame/credit. His voice and “Whether you like it or not” rant on the radio commercials will sway many undecideds.

What I find hilarious is the lengths the homosexuals are going to kill Prop 8. Their commercials implore voters not to allow government intrusion in private lives! This coming from the government is never too big liberal left who will mandate that government schools teach this bilge to grade schoolers.

The Left considers obeying the law as something they don’t have to do. Just us little conservatives should do. And it is not going to get any better. Whether we like it or not!

I’ll be voting YES on 8, but I hope a day will come when another Proposition will come along barring state and local governments from using the word marriage to describe any government approved civil coupling. Marriage is a religious term and ceremony. As such, it should be reserved for religious institutions. Proposition 8 addresses CIVIL UNIONS, which are not, nor should ever be confused with a religious marriage.

Posted this to the Vallejo Times-Herald site:

Anyone who wants to can get married now... Just not to someone of the same gender. Since the institution of marriage was begun, thousands of years ago, it has been that same way. Those who prefer a sex partner of the same gender have options. But they want total acceptance for what is, to put it as politely as I can, a perversion. Homosexuality is NOT THE NORM, not for any species. Nor can it be, as the primary function of sex is for reproduction, not recreation, at least during the human child-bearing years. Homosexuality perverts that function and while it is never proper to harm someone for their sexual tastes, neither is it proper to grant them special rights not afforded to everyone else. Tolerance does not and should not equal mandated acceptance. Same-sex marriage is not and cannot be a societal NORM. Homosexual behavior is NOT a norm. We, as a society, can and should turn a blind eye toward behavior amongst and between consenting adults, but those consenting adults also have a responsibility to NOT rub the rest of our faces in their behavior.
I personally do not harbor ill will to the gay and lesbian crowd, nor will I unless, by their bleating and carrying on, FORCE me to take notice of their abnormal behaviors. Then, like most of normal society, I will react and it will not be to their liking. We, in California, have been down this road before and we clearly said that marriage is reserved SOLELY for one man and one woman, period. Not Adam and Steve or Sally and Eve or between Eve and the family dog or any other pairing. Nor between Steve and Sally and Eve or Eve and Steve and Adam. One man and one woman. Simple, time tested and workable. If you want some other form of relationship, you do have options. Just not marriage. And that’s as it should be.
