The biography of Cary Grant on Wikipedia recounts a number of allegations that he had homosexual affairs, none of them proven or admitted. He did use LSD when it was still legal.

Cary Grant was a Republican.

According to Wikipedia he chose a name with the letters C and G because those letters were lucky for Gary Cooper and Clark Gable What does that say about BO?
I know that I am holding my nose.

CeaseFire Workers Among ‘Snake Charmer’ Arrests

Two anti-violence workers among those arrested in Operation Snake Charmer

By Steve Rhodes

Updated 12:42 PM CDT, Thu, Oct 16, 2008

An undercover FBI investigation came to fruition on Wednesday with the arrest of 25 alleged Spanish Cobras - and six others - on federal drugs and gun charges, but two of those caught in the sweep have turned out to be workers with the anti-violence CeaseFire group, which has received millions of dollars in government aid and gotten rave reviews in the national press.

CeaseFire’s director of mediator services acknowledged that two of those arrested work for the group as “violence interruptors.” CeaseFire, in fact, often uses ex-gang members to intervene in disputes in an effort to keep them from escalating because they know the territory so well. And some may not be completely extricated from their crews.

“In addition to outreach workers, they also hire men and women who had been deep into street life, and [one CeaseFire official] began recruiting people even while they were still in prison,” Alex Kotlowitz wrote in a New York Times Sunday Magazine cover story last spring. “ [He] told me he was looking for those ‘right there on the edge.’ (The interrupters are paid roughly $15 an hour, and those working full time receive benefits from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where CeaseFire is housed.) . . . Some CeaseFire workers have, indeed, reverted to their old ways. One outreach worker was fired after he was arrested for possession of an AK-47 and a handgun. Another outreach worker and an interrupter were let go after they were arrested for dealing drugs. Word-of-mouth allegations often circulate, and privately, some in the police department worry about CeaseFire’s workers returning to their old habits.”

Still, CeaseFire won an additional $400,000 in grants from the U.S. Justice Department last month, in part on the basis of a three-year evaluation of the program conducted by a Northwestern University professor.

A five-part series by Tracy Jake Siska of the Chicago Justice Project, though, called into question the efficacy of CeaseFire, including the assumption that “interrupters are interceding in violence that will lead to a series of retaliatory attacks.”

Think Fred Barnes on Fox immediately after debate made mention of those smirks and that it might have hurt Obama.

He was probably coached to do that to take the sting off the accusations. Don’t remember him doing that when he debated Hillary.

I thought Obama came off cold, detached, arrogant and I don’t think that will play well with world leaders or the American people. When McCain says people are hurting, he seems to understand it. When Obama talks, he simply doesn’t seem like he is even invested in the issues.

Cary Grant's biography reveals many similarities, including a troubled childhood in which he was separated from his mother, assuming a succession of identities with several name changes, a move away from the country where he grew up including changing his accent, and rumors of bisexuality — all while cultivating a smoothly debonair outward facade.

One of the key differences is that the public knew Grant was an actor playing fictitious roles. A few learned that he was also putting up a front about his personality. The American public has yet become wise that Obama's personality is largely self-constructed to mask chasms in his inner identity.

I’ve been with Cary Grant, he had class and it’s a positive insult to his memory to even suggest this empty suit has anything in common with him

He had done a lot of acting before he adopted the name Cary Grant. In His Girl Friday he jokes about his real name--"the last guy who talked to me like that was Archie Leach, just before he cut his own throat."

More like Steve Erkle!

LOL!! One of my fave all-time tv characters.
But Urkle had a sense of humor about himself, and was humble.

Cary Grant once vacationed in the Soviet Union. Obama wants to turn the US into the Soviet Union. So they do have something in common.

Excuse me, but wasn't Cary Grant a closet homosexual who died of AIDs?

Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

Obama is a cold and calculating Marxist automaton, doing exactly what he is programmed to do. without emotion. He won't be rattled. He's not a single personality. He will attempt to perform his appointed task of annihilating the middle class by pretending to be one of them and have concern for their needs.

I only watched maybe 10 minutes total of the Dem debates, but one of my first introductions to 0bama was when he said to Hillary:

“That’s OK Hillary, you’re likeable enough.”

I’m not even sure he bothered to look at her; mostly I remember him looking down and scribbling like a bored student in class. I think at the time Edwards was still in it.

“The turning point was when McCain finally brought up the issue of Obama’s ties to former anti–Vietnam War terrorist William Ayers”

Obama was the first to bring up Ayers. I’ll double check my tape, but I think I’m right. Mccain responded.

This is an old article, but it’s a good one to show just how wishy washy Obama is.

Obama had a ready explanation: He goofed.
May 20, 2008

http://goodtimepolitics.com/2008/05/20/obama-had-a-ready-explanation-he-goofed/

(from LA times) Barack Obama angered fellow Democrats in the Illinois Senate when he voted to strip millions of dollars from a child welfare office on Chicago’s West Side. But Obama had a ready explanation: He goofed. “I was not aware that I had voted no,” he said that day in June 2002, asking that the record be changed to reflect that he “intended to vote yes.”
Some lawmakers say the practice also offers a relatively painless way to placate both sides of a difficult issue. Even if a lawmaker admits an error, the actual vote stands and the official record merely shows the senator’s “intent.”

On March 19, 1997, he announced he had fumbled an election-reform vote the day before, on a measure that passed 51 to 6: “I was trying to vote yes on this, and I was recorded as a no,” he said. The next day, he acknowledged voting “present” on a key telecommunications vote.

He stood on March 11, 1999, to take back his vote against legislation to end good-behavior credits for certain felons in county jails. “I pressed the wrong button on that,” he said.

Obama was the lone dissenter on Feb. 24, 2000, against 57 yeas for a ban on human cloning. “I pressed the wrong button by accident,” he said.

But two of Obama’s bumbles came on more-sensitive topics. On Nov. 14, 1997, he backed legislation to permit riverboat casinos to operate even when the boats were dockside.

The measure, pushed by the gambling industry and fought by church groups whose support Obama was seeking, passed with two “yeas” to spare — including Obama’s. Moments after its passage he rose to say, “I’d like to be recorded as a no vote,” explaining that he had mistakenly voted for it.
