In many of the accounts of the American POW’s held and tortured by the N. Vietnamese in the infamous “Hotel Hilton,” are recollections of McCain being dragged back to his cell by his torturers - but still managing, despite being tortured/beaten terribly, a grin to the other American prisoners he knew were peering through little slits in the cell doors.
That fits so well with what we saw tonight - I believe we saw something that came at least partly from as far back as those five and a half years in that N. Vietnamese hell hole...
So many appealing traits he’s been hiding from US ... he’s really much more than I’ve thought he was.

Yes I heard about that. His fellow prisoners said he would shuffle along grinning and giving them the thumbs up. Sort of like cool hand Luke.
