WASHINGTON When it comes to the public's image of John McCain, it's as if somebody dialed the electricity down in the past month. For Barack Obama, the juice is still flowing.
People's regard for the Republican presidential nominee has deteriorated across the board since September, an Associated Press-Yahoo News poll showed Friday, with McCain losing ground in how favorably he's seen and in a long list of personal qualities voters seek in White House contenders.
Perceptions of Obama have improved or remained steady. Beyond views of the two rivals' character traits, McCain faces another problem Obama is more trusted on the economy, the contest's commanding issue, including a 15 percentage-point edge for better grasping how the raging financial crisis is affecting people.

The AP-Yahoo News poll included 841 likely voters and was conducted from Oct. 3-13. It has an overall margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points. Included were interviews with 373 people who initially said they were Democrats, 252 Republicans and 214 independents
No, no bias here......
Has anyone else noticed that Yahoo has a daily lead story dissing McCain? It’s like a 24/7 Obama Shill Machine.
Polls are a complete waste of time ...
My poll says Obama will lose by 5%. Just like the primary, Obama’s problem is with Democrats.
(Unless, of course, we find out that Joe the Plumber is a registered sex offender, who has a concealed carry permit and attends a fundamentalist church....)
As is the media which covers them.
44% Dem
30% Rep
LOL!
the media is relentless, now that McPalin has momentum the toady press redoubles their effort to slow it. The media is corrupt beyond redemption.
The debates are iover and Obama will not be able to cast his spell on voters. Rtaher his policies will take the forefront and frankly, they are not popular.
The rest of thkis election cycle could follow the same trend as the primary election cycle, where he gets his clock cleaned.
DBM default... kick McCain in the grill.
So the poll ends on the 13th and they publish this article four days later?
Obviously, they had this in their pocket and knew they needed to use it.
It’s a fact! Yahoo is no longer my home page. AOL is the same, all Obama, all the time.
Your last statement is the key, Tex. They know they are losing.
I look for the Fox Panel of Experts, however, to see this poll and only this poll. What a box of tools!
How about that for Barnes, Krauthammer, et. al. “The FOX BOX of TOOLS!”
Corrected statement. And it's not just the AP---it's the whole "big media". ABCBSMSNBCFOXWPNYTLAT are all in the tank.
AP minions: "We hope, we hope, we hope, we hope, we hope..."
.
Yahoo middle and upper management like the LA Times and the NY Times is comprised of 50% militant homosexuals. They take it as a badge of honor. The have one of the most liberal same sex employee benefit programs in the country and gave millions to far left groups including a big fat check to MoveOn.org. They should be ignored. I am all for capitalism but if this company went down the tubes and the 100’s of far left metrosexual Bay Area moonbats were out of work I would’nt shed a tear.
If Barry is “more trusted on the economy”, then the press trying to spin a positive angle and the idiots who vote for Barry, will implode over the next 4 years
Stock up on popcorn (while you can afford it)
(Unless, of course, we find out that Joe the Plumber is a registered sex offender, who has a concealed carry permit and attends a fundamentalist church....)
ROFLOL. Great line.
These telephone polls are ridiculous. Have you all noticed that after the last 2 debates, while everyone was screaming, including that rughead on Fox that Obama was clearly the winner?
