Has Mike Barnicle called Sarah Palin stupid? Seems that way. In a Huffington Post column that Mika Brzezinski read on today's Morning Joe, Barnicle, referring to Palin, wrote of the:
preposterous pronouncements of a woman whose candidacy is an insult to intelligence.
Let's deconstruct. The normal formulation is an "insult to our intelligence," used to describe an assertion that is obviously unbelievable. For example, you might say Barack Obama insulted our intelligence when he claimed against all evidence during this week's debate that his only tie to ACORN is his past representation of the group in a lawsuit. But when Barnicle writes that Sarah Palin's candidacy is an insult not to "our" intelligence, but to intelligence itself, it's hard to read that other than as suggesting Palin is something other than smart. Throw in his reference to "preposterous pronouncements" and there's little doubt that the person Barnicle intended to insult is Palin herself. Mika seemed to acknowledge that Barnicle meant to slur Sarah, observing, after reading that last line, "that's rough stuff."
I'd say that a woman who had ability to take on and defeat an entrenched old-boy network in her home state, and the moral intelligence to make the family decisions she has, is plenty smart. As Forest Gump said, Mike: stupid is as stupid does.

Funny how the same PC leftists who are "outraged" at non-insults not directed toward women have no problem with the real thing as part of a full-blown assault.

A few things Sarah Palin didn’t do that Mr. Barnicle ignores in her opponent (Biden): 1) give an average of 0.1 percent of her income to charity (all of $ 125 one year); 2) cheat on a law school test and have to take the course over again; 3) have a son who gets a job as head of a hedge fund started by a bank his father’s Senate committee regulates, at 1.2 million a year and with no hedge fund experience; 4) make one stupid mistake in his speeches after another); 5) draw an average of about 500 people to her rallies, most of them bussed in by their unions. For some reason, this woman has an 80 percent approval rating as governor of Alaska; Barnicle needs to turn his venom on himself and his own remarkable biases or perhaps that of the governor of his state, a clown named Derval Patrick, who wanted to purchase a jet for his travels as governor of Massachusetss, all 50 miles wide and 150 miles long of it. Sarah Palin sold her states jet, by the way, Mr. Barnicle.
This from a guy who had to plagerize George Carlin, for crying out loud.

You know, Joe Biden ran for the Presidential nomination 3 times, each time with decreasing success. Clearly, Dems didn’t want him, or see him qualified, as President.
Now, by picking this rejected candidate, Sen. Obama is overruling the judgment and will of his Dem constituency.
So, how’s Biden not the real insult?
Why yes I belive she has. She just said "yeah, what he say" This saves her the trouble of having to do any research before she plagarizes his words.
Then it is must also be painfully clear that Obama as PRESIDENT, given his inadequate background experience, is an even bigger insult to people’s intelligence.
I’d rather have someone who has been elected by people to executive positions, used to running things, who is actually responsible for having to run things, and take either the credit or the blame, than some punk senator who THINKS he already is an executive and believes his piddly experience makes him more qualified than a governor.
Joe Biden must be an insult to everyone’s intelligence too. He can’t count, he steals others words, he puts his foot in his mouth so frequently he’s got athlete’s tongue, and he was only on a city council for 2 years before he ran for senate. Now he wants to be VP? He comes from a pretty small and unimportant state. Seems he isn’t qualified according to how they are viewing Palin.

Barnicle is an elitist phoney wind-bag. Barnicle is a cheat who’s been dumped from jobs because of his fraudulent behavior. Fact is Sara Palin is more qualified than Obama and is just as qualified as Clinton when he became president. They’re dumping on her because she’s an attractive conservative woman. As far as Biden goes he’s a jerk who’s usually wrong on major issues. MSM is not reporting this but the Palins gave twice as much to charity than the Biden’s even though they (Palins) earned half as much.
