The Associated Press (AP) is being dumped by the Tribune Company.

According to Editor&Publisher (link repaired), The Tribune Company has given a two-year, pink-slip notice to the AP

Those of us who are regular news junkies have long noticed a definite bias in the AP's reporting. Radio host Rush Limbaugh refers to the news source as the "APO" - the "Associated Press Obama."

Too many jackboots and Nazi arm bands in the AP news room to suit the Tribune, apparently.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer liberal agenda driven dinosaur media institution. When will the old media learn that reporting of the news is much different than what they do which involves skewing information to suit their liberal/Dim agenda? Hopefully the current strategies will kill the AP and the NY Slimes, WaPo, LAT and the “news” organizations of the 3 networks (ABC, CBS, NBC) because nobody but the most partisan liberal will trust what they spew out. Stick a fork in it.

Though the reason that the Tribune cited was a dispute over price. Who says capitalism is dead?
