Just after CNN (yeah, it was my only choice) raved about how if the election were held today, Obama would get 293 electoral votes, blah, blah, blah...Obama was on in St. Louis begging his supporters to go vote and telling them that the polls might show him ahead but they all need to vote, tell their family and friends to vote, blah, blah, blah...this was all about an hour ago.

They're not ahead. They know it, but they're not letting on.

My grandparents were always die-hard democrats...the democrats of yesterday, that is. A few weeks ago I visited my grandmother and she asked me to write up a letter to send out for an absentee ballot. I agreed but she insisted on explaining why. She's thrilled about Sarah Palin. She's voting Republican for the first time! I'm sure my late grampa, a WWII vet, would have also. Those calling themselves "democrats" today do not display his values.

And then the other day I visit my mother and she hands me a paper. I look at it quickly -- something about Obama, one of those emails that goes around about where he got the money to travel during college, much less pay for his expensive schools...who were his roommates, etc. I asked her why she didn't just email it to me. Turns out, my grandmother asked her to pass it along to me...someone gave her a copy at Bingo! Moral of this long post: There are a lot of people who fly under the radar and are very concerned about who Barack Obama is.
