Personally I think that republican crowds are more telling.

Democrats really have that whole cult of personality thing this year. “Followers”. And often we know a band is involved to help bring the crowds.

Republicans have “supporters” not followers.

Conservative thinkers know politicians work for us, far less “worship” going on there.

If Sarah draws large crowds, I think that is more significant. Each person there probably represents way more supporters at home then at a democrat cult gathering.

Except here there was no real effort to see Obama. Obama went to them where they would be on a Saturday. No tickets except maybe for the people sitting close "The One" in St. Louis.

That's true. But the Palin crowds are significant because McCain wasn't exactly inspiring enthusiasm in the choir until he chose Palin. Obama already had his choir inspired beforehand due to massive BDS and just the fact they've been in the wilderness for 8 years.
