WASHINGTON--The McCain campaign unleashed a furious attack on the New York Times for digging into the background of Cindy McCain--as her attorney asserted the paper is not looking deeply at Barack and Michelle Obama.
Her attorney wrote a stinging letter to the managing editor of the New York Times about how the piece was prepared--claiming a reporter contacted a teen on her Face Book page to get some leads.
In the letter released by the McCain campaign, attorney John Dowd notes that Cindy McCain's battles with drugs and the management of her charitable life have been long reported and then he wonders why the paper has not plowed more new ground with Barack and Michelle Obama.

Actually, I don't think this is true.
The Bush DUI had been "common knowledge" for years. Yet the MSM used it as an Oct. surprise to get uninformed conservatives to not vote for him.
Same would hold for Obama. Cocaine is worse than marijuana or alcohol. There are a lot of uninformed social conservatives/fiscal liberals voting for Obama (a lot of Catholics for examples) who would turn off on Obama if they found out he admitted in his book to cocaine use.

Well this guy isn’t a poor white guy, in fact he is the Libertarian Party VP candidate, who happened to graduate from Columbia the same year Obama did. He claims his grades were not good enough to get into Harvard, and he has a suspicion that it was Affirmative action that got Obama through the doors.

Here is the meat of what I am talking about:
“The liberal media will tell you that racism, as I’ve just outlined it, doesn’t exist, or is somehow “just.” Let me tell you through my own experience and that of my college classmate, Barack Obama, just how WRONG they are. As I’ve already pointed out, Barack and I graduated from the same college, on the same day, with the same major, both from lower middle class families. Except for the color of our skin we couldn’t have been more alike. I had good grades at Columbia, (B+ or higher) and good LSAT (Law School admission exam) scores. Good enough, I was told by my Columbia University guidance counselor, that I could gain acceptance into virtually any law school in America, with the exception of the Ivy Leagues (Harvard, Yale, Columbia). “Don’t even bother to apply to your favorite choice Harvard- you just don’t have the grades,” I was told. And, you know something, I accepted the fact that my grades weren’t good enough, and that more qualified applicants should attend those schools.
Yet, Barack was accepted to Harvard Law School. Was it because of his grades, test scores, and college record? Or, was it because of the color of his skin? I think inquiring minds (and voters) have a right to know. My life (and grades) at Columbia are an open book. They are available for everyone to see. But, newspaper after newspaper has told me that Obama’s campaign refuses to release his college transcripts. Why? What has he got to hide? That same Obama campaign never hesitates to mention in every media story that Barack graduated Harvard Law School with Law Review honors. But never even a mention of his Columbia undergraduate record. Why?
Now don’t misunderstand me. I don’t think any of this really matters 25 years later…nor should it. We all know Barack is smart and gifted. We all know he is the best orator since Reagan or Clinton (at least with a teleprompter). However, his grades of twenty-five years ago are very meaningful in the context of this argument.

Any associations of McCain and Palin pale in comparison to the many questionable unsavory associations of the Obamas. The liberal media refuses to do its job which is to report FACTS. This entire campaign has shown that the liberal media wouldn’t know a fact if it came up and bit ‘em on the butt. Apparently, the liberal media is hiring blogsters or copying stories directly from the loony far left blogospheres and printing them as fact. Rain? No, it’s not rain. It’s the tears of folks like Edward R. Murrow and Huntley and Brinkley who are up in Heaven sobbing uncontrollably as they see from above what is happening here below.
We all know that Obama told about his cocaine use in his youth. Did this include the use of crack cocaine? Larry Sinclair talked about Obama smoking crack cocaine as late as November of 1999 in Chicago. If Sinclair's account is true, that makes Obama a serious cocaine user--a crack cocaine user. The use of crack cocaine is very serious because it is extremely habit forming.
We also know that Obama is a cigarette smoker and has failed recent attempts to stop. If Obama has trouble stopping the use of cigarettes, there is no way he could stop cocaine use; especially crack cocaine use.
If this campaign has done nothing else, it has made me want to CRUSADE against lazy, lying BIG MEDIA. They are utterly disgusting.

The New York Times’ willful refusal to cover the many true awful facts in Obama’s long, long history of close friendships with those workinhg to destroy the U.S. is a case of a newspaper going beyond having a point of view to so vastly withholding the story that they are actually aiding and abetting the downfall of the U.S.

Since the media brought up Cindy - I can see that McCain now will turn loose on poor Barack Hussein Obama’s admitted cocaine use “for therapeutic reasons”
