Sounds like the Dave Ramsey plan. Though I’m sure he didn’t invent it.

1) Tear them all up
2) Every gift, stimulus check, tax refund, windfall goes to credit card
3) Refinanced the house, got equity to pay cards, but changed from 30 year to 15 year to make it up
4) When you pay off a card, take the monthly money freed up and pay more on the next one to snowball it.

That got us out of that mess finally. Never again.

Congratulations.

We haven’t had a credit card in 6 years. I don’t miss them.
Six years ago, it seemed like a good idea. Now it seems like a GREAT idea.

BTW, I’ve used debit cards for car rentals, hotels, planes and countless online purchases. I’ve never had a single problem.
