Barack Obama’s review of William Ayers' book
Zombietime (photos of Chicago Tribune article) ^ | Oct. 18, 2008 | zombie

On December 21, 1997, Barack Obama wrote a short review of William Ayers’ book A Kind and Just Parent: The Children of Juvenile Court, which had recently been published by Beacon Press. Here’s a photo of how the review appeared in the Chicago Tribune:

Obama’s review of Ayers’ book says, “A searing and timely account of the juvenile court system, and the courageous individuals who rescue hope from despair.”

I had seen mentions of the existence of this review in a very few media outlets, including CNN, National Review, American Spectator, and a handful of others. But because the review was published before the Chicago Tribune began digitizing and archiving its articles online, there was no direct Web link to the review itself — only citations of it. So, out of curiosity, I took it upon myself to visit a library in San Francisco, and using the library’s Lexis-Nexis access and its archive of microfilm versions of major newspapers, including the Chicago Tribune, I finally tracked down a copy of the actual review itself.

Barack had to give him a good review. After all, Ayers wrote "Dreams from my Father" for him.

"Wow... Obama said he had “no idea” who Ayers was, and here is proof he gave a highly positive review of Ayer’s book in a major newspaper. Busted"

O didn't exchange ideas with Ayers! Also, he was CEO of Annenberg with Ayers, the head of Operations, and they spent $100 million on educational reform projects, ----BUT they didn't exchange ideas. How can you spend millions on ed reform without exchanging ideas?

Or did he just say, "Yes Sir, Mr. Bill, I'll write those checks right now"?

How can a person even comment on such stupidity. I'm dumbfounded.

he adopted Brinks cop guard murdering Kathey Bodines two children( and raised them muslim).

There's only one child, Chesa Boudin.

What's the evidence that Ayers and Dohrn raised Chesa Boudin as a muslim?

I think all three of them are atheists.

"a kind and just parent"

From Sept 11, 2001, New York Times article/interview with Obama associate and friend, William/Bill Ayers.

"Mr. Ayers, who in 1970 was said to have summed up the Weatherman philosophy as:

'Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents, that's where it's really at,' is today distinguished professor of education at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Of the day he bombed the Pentagon, Ayers says, “Everything was absolutely ideal. ... The sky was blue. The birds were singing. And the bastards were finally going to get what was coming to them.”

On another occasion, Ayers stated: “There’s something about a good bomb … Night after night, day after day, each majestic scene I witnessed was so terrible and so unexpected that no city would ever again stand innocently fixed in my mind. Big buildings and wide streets, cement and steel were no longer permanent. They, too, were fragile and destructible. A torch, a bomb, a strong enough wind, and they, too, would come undone or get knocked down.”

All told, Ayers and Weatherman were responsible for 30 bombings aimed at destroying the defense and security infrastructures of the U.S. “I don’t regret setting bombs, said Ayers in 2001, “I feel we didn’t do enough.”

These people are communists.

Bill Ayers TODAY (April 6, 2008), from his own red communist star-headed website, begging to debate communism vs capitalism with Sean Hannity and STILL calling for revolution!

"Imperialism. I’m against it, and if Sean Hannity and others were honest, this is the ground they would fight me on. Capitalism played its role historically and is exhausted as a force for progress: built on exploitation, theft, conquest, war, and racism, capitalism and imperialism must be defeated and a world revolution—a revolution against war and racism and materialism, a revolution based on human solidarity and love, cooperation and the common good —must win.

We begin by releasing our most hopeful dreams and our most radical imaginations: a better world is both possible and necessary.

"a better world is both possible and necessary"

Looks to me like Bill Ayers stole (or borrowed) this phrase from Bob Avakian, chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party. Both the Weather Underground and RCP have roots in the radical Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) organization.

"The following is an excerpt from an historic talk by [Revolutionary Communist Party] Chairman Bob Avakian, soon to be available on video and DVD from Three Q Productions-REVOLUTION: Why It's Necessary, Why It's Possible, What It's All About. This talk, delivered in 2003, followed by questions and answers, is a wide- ranging revolutionary journey, covering many topics."

Don’t think so.

Must have been one of those fine VFR days when you could look to the left out the cockpit window as you cross the Hudson at West Point and see the Towers off in the distance.

“One of the BLA idiots, Nathan Burns, took the name Sekou Odinga. The muslim thug president of Kenya, and African travel partner of Obama and his supposedly first cousin is Raila Odinga. Odd.”

Very odd.

"My name is Sekou Mgobogi Abdullah Odinga. I am a Muslim and a POW.....website.( warning bad Jamacian computer music alert)

"In a January 2008 interview, Odinga asserted that he was the first cousin of American Senator and presidential candidate Barack Obama through Senator Obama's father.[24] However, Barack Obama's paternal uncle denied any direct relation to Odinga, stating "Odinga's mother came from this area, so it is normal for us to talk about cousins. But he is not a blood relative."[25] Obama's father belonged to the same Luo tribe as Odinga. [24]"

By virtue of your action in correcting my misguided, but well intentioned commendation, I offer up a hearty Freeper nod of Excellence, both; for your keen eye and steadfast posting capabilities during your watch on the deck of Free Republic.

Further, during the ‘watch’ inspection, your pajamas were determined ‘squared away’. In finding your uniform in a ‘high state of readiness’, I bestow upon you, the ‘Numero Uno’ award. Liberty is extended to 2400 hours.
