Cutting loose MSNBC might help. At least they already bought a full season of Chuck.

Maybe after cutting this much they will make money :0).

If not all of MSNBC, just get rid of Matthews, Olbermann and Maddow. That will save bundles.

Media cuts during the October of a hot presidential fight. Ha! If profits stink for them now, what will happen AFTER the race?

I have had a sneaking suspicion for a while now that most of the biased print and network media are just hanging on to get past this election and win it for 0bama. I feel that after November, we will see a major bloodletting in the traditional old media unlike anything ever seen before.

I think you’re right. The only thing keeping a lot of the old media afloat right now is the election. Some of them have got to be saying, “what do we do after this is over if our side wins”. Now, if there side loses, they can get a a little ink with the racism in America issue.

Been a lot of cuts this year. The old media is losing its cash muscle. Notice that the New York Times had to make cuts when Obama needed its help the most.

No matter how the election turns out — they’ll be hurting. At the same time, conservative news will keep getting stronger.

That’s why the left knows it must win this year. It’s been losing with free speech. It’s do-or-die for the left this year.

Haven’t watch NBC in years. The last thing I think I watched was Taxi. Or maybe that was CBS or ABC.
In any event, I haven’t watched tv in years other than a few cable shows.

I’m convinced that if masochistic conservatives stopped watching MSNBC, they wouldn’t have an audience at all.

Actually they’ll probably go up. Presidential fights aren’t actually terribly profitable for the networks. You’ve got debates that pre-empt their shows and don’t generate much if any money, they generally give the campaigns cut rates on ads, there’s a bunch of news division people that only work once every four years costing more. Campaigns are pricey for the networks.

Unregistered campaign donations.

I’m just talking the above board stuff. TV networks lose lots of money on the legitimate coverage campaigns. Illegitimate stuff doesn’t make the picture any prettier.
