I’d be a more than a little terrified going after a Griz with a bow.
The tree stand would have to be fort knox to get me sitting on it over top a griz. !!

Actually, even most grizz around here run when they see people, at least where I live cause they get shot at all year long; and they can move out from a dead start faster than you could ever imagine. I guess it's that one outta hundred that thinks you might taste pretty good that you have to worry about. I'd hate to have one running in on me as you'd only have several seconds.

I've had grizz look me over, ponder then figure I was more bother than anything; and walk off. Funny thing is only bear that ever came in on me to eat me were young black bear. The first one I waved and hollared off, with my hair on my neck straight up and the second one I shot at like 15 yards. I know a bunch of guys that have been mauled though, and they shoot every bear they see like they are the devil himself, no joke.

My 17 year old son bought a 2 man stand and we will bait grizz in come nx May with 5 gallon buckets of rotten salmon eggs, as they really work well. I'll be settin nx to him with the camcorder & my S&W 460 mag. With 200 grain hornadys, it puts quarter size holes thru 1/4 inch plate steel.

Bear get in trouble when people have bear food outside around their house. Bear finds it, then figures might be even better eats inside where that man lives, bear gets shot.
