I think that what could derail the McCain campaign during the last 2 weeks of the campaign could be extraneous circumstances such as George Bush, a further steep dropoff in the stock market or meltdown in the economy, or a Republican scandal. Barring something like that Obama’s ‘problems’, Joe the Plumber, and Palin power should propel the campaign forward and I think the undecideds will break to McCain. What the final outcome will be is anybody’s guess!

In an honest election, I think we are in good shape, poised to peak at just the right time.

However, I seriously worry that the democRATS may literally steal the election via fraud.

We put up our “Obama = Voter Fraud” yard sign this morning.

And your home hasn't been vandalized yet?

..to me this is telling. You look at the 2004 spread—Bush just missed in Wisconsin.

Well, I thought of another reason why Obama is going to Madison, WI. Other than Berkeley, it’s the only place in the country that guarantees a huge WHITE turnout.

My thoughts exactly MrB. Let us pray!Something to consider, according to a local radio guy here the Clintons had it set up when he was in the White House, that the poll takers would do heavier polling (to the tune of 7% more) in the “urban” or areas. According to him it was aimed at getting more minority voters in on the poll. If this form of polling is still going on that could skew the polls to the left by 7%. (beyond the margin of error on all polls I’ve seen.) Plus you have people like me that just don’t respond to the polls. With that in mind plus the pro-Kerry results of the 2004 polls followed by W taking 85 % of the counties. I have alot of hope that the war hero & his everyday girl VP will overtake the extreme leftist & his liarliarliar! running mate.

Maybe so, but Madison is also known as “25 square miles surrounded by reality”. The only place where left-wing radio listeners have petitioned to keep Err America-like crap on the air...it’s like Popeye going to a spinach factory.

Dole was 15-20 points down. Even the worst polls were not that bad for McCain a couple weeks ago.

Dole closed the gap, and if McCain can do so, it is still close enough he can win.

Now, there are reasons to be concerned. Often that last weekend makes it.

If undecideds choose to break for Obama that final weekend, McCain would lose. It could happen. It has happened before.

But, McCain could pull it out, and I think the ad buy here is so massive by Obama that people may be turned off by it.

“Right on! One more thing. WOULD SOMEBODY TELL PRESIDENT BUSH TO SHUT UP FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS?”

You couldn’t be more correct. We need Bush out of the headlines.

I’m not familiar with that story ... do you have a link to info about it? Am trying to talk a young soldier out of voting for That One. Thanks.

but a mortal sin for the 'Pubs to have the No. 2 spot inexperienced.

Sarah has more relevant (executive branch) experience than the other 3 combined.

Senatorial experience is counter-productive. If you have ever witnessed what occurs when the lawyers take over and run a business you will know what I mean It ain't pretty.

Our country would have been better served if 2 governors were competing for the White House, such as Richardson vs. Romney. I am not endorsing either one, mind you. Just the concept that governors are in general much better prepared than senators to handle the position.

Palin/Jindal 2012 ...

Not to mention, why is Obama going this week to Madison, Wisconsin of all places ?

And yesterday Biden was in Washington state. And McCain/Palin, supposedly losing, are spending a lot of time and money in the blue states of NH, PA, WI and MN.

If the election were held tomorrow, I'm confident McCain/Palin would win. As long as you fine folks in Virginia come through, and I think you will!

No. not yet. :) We live in a predominantly Republican stronghold. Still, it’s the juveniles being brainwashed by their school teachers than concern me some.

"I just looked at the McCain calender and a visit to Florida is not on there. Pa, Nv, Oh, Nh, Mo, no florida?? or virginia"

He owns Florida, regardless of what polls may or may nto say. He OWNS IT. Virginia is a gonner. I just can't believe PA may be swingin' his way. What a coup if he can do it!

I heard ZeroH will be in Tampa today... Bad timing for us, as they’re pumped up with the Rays going to the WS... Does anyone think this will help ZeroH, or hurt McCain?
