I’ve never known a hospital to release anyone if it is so serious and also why wait for three days to go

Doctor released my dad for the express purpose of going home to die a dignified death in the familiar surroundings of home. He died within 24 hours of being released.

it is true that hospitals release folks to die dignified deaths all the time — but is more common for widows and people of means to be released to hospices. There are a number of very good hospices in Honolulu... the town has a LOT of retirees and a pretty high median age... if she was sent “home” — i think it is because doctors thought she was out of danger... think about it... would you take a risk discharging this VERY SPECIAL patient early? would make for very bad publicity...

I TOOK my Dad home to die. I didn’t want him to be alone. He died sitting up in my sister and my arms within 24 hours.
