I’m a sportswriter for a major daily newspaper. If this sort of situation developed with some backup quarterback or point guard - on the verge of winning a starting job - suddenly missing two practices to travel several time zones away and visit an ailing grandmother he has had little time for, the sports department would go into overdrive to find out what the real story was. I am no conspiracy guy, and this Andy Martin does apparently have a big-time ego, but THERE HAS TO BE MORE TO THE MARXIST’S DEPARTURE THAN IS BEING SAID.

I'm not a believer in conspiracy theories. If his Grandma is really on her deathbed, that would explain Obama's sudden change of plans. But if its an explosive political secret, I'm sure we would have heard of it by now. Andy Martin should either tell us what he knows or shut up.

Question: Why would Obama leave, knowing it can only arouse suspicion, even if the MSM covers for him? Again, the polls, we are told, are going his way. Stay overnight, two nights in Hawaii, when the world is told things are again going in your direction?
