Accusations traded during only debate for 22nd District race

Democratic U.S. Rep. Nick Lampson pleaded for bipartisanship and compromise, and Republican challenger Pete Olson delivered a withering criticism of Lampson's legislative votes Monday night in their only debate over a seat that has drawn the national spotlight.

Monday night's campaign match-up was the only one Lampson agreed to attend with Olson before the Nov. 4 election.

Unfortunately I missed watching this debate live. Surprised that the Comical actually gave Olson fair coverage as they have been in the tank for Lampson and the Democrats from the beginning.

This is one seat that I doubt the democRATs are going to keep. Voting with Pelosi isn't going sit well with this conservative district.

I dunno...the phony Dem “conservative” Chet Edwards manages to keep lying his way back to office from the Ft. Hood/College Station district of TX. His TV ads cast him as a great friend of the military, though he voted for every surrender bill Nancy Pelousy proposed. But he’s an old Aggie, and they are like the Blacks in voting for their own kind.
