Proposition 8 is a civil initiative that would secure marriage as an institution that is exclusively between a man and a woman, and Joe Biden told Ellen DeGeneres that he is opposed to that measure. In other words, Biden did not tell the truth in his debate with Sarah Palin. He cannot logically be opposed to both gay marriage and Proposition 8, but that is exactly what he is trying to get away with. More important, Biden is openly defying both the pope and the bishops.
Last year, in his Apostolic Exhortation Sacramentum Caritatis, Pope Benedict XVI pointedly said the following about people like Joe Biden: Worship pleasing to God can never be a purely private matter
it is especially incumbent upon those who, by virtue of their social or political position, must make decisions regarding fundamental values such as respect for human life, its defence from conception to natural death, the family built upon marriage between a man and a woman....These values are not negotiable. (My emphasis.)

Gaffe-a-minute Joe continues to get a free pass.
Meanwhile, the history books will record Reagan, Quayle, Bush, and Palin as morons, and Carter, Dukakis, Clinton, Gore, and Kerry as geniuses.
“Biden cannot logically be opposed to both gay marriage and Proposition 8”
He can’t logically be anyone’s idea of a VP either.
Jesus Christ Himself could appear before Biden and tell him that he was wrong. Biden would step on His sandled foot and still do the wrong thing.
So excommunicate him. Or shut up. Unfortunately, too many Catholic church leaders want access to power more than they want to be faithful.
..WHAT DOES IT PROFIT A MAN?....COMES TO MIND.
As a Southern Baptist, I need to ask why this joker is not excommunicated? Will it ever come to this?
Another gaffe the MSM will not cover.
The mainstream media will never recover from this election. They have campaigned for Obama for all the world to see.
Do they know the damage they have done to themselves?
Biden’s (and many other polticians’) choice is really pretty simple: Do I choose God and the principles and commandments He has given to men or do I take the side that gives me the money to buy the votes that will keep me in this job that flatters my ego, gives me the opportunity to exercise power on a scale I could never attain in any other line of work and lines my pockets so effectively? This is not a tough choice for people like Biden, Pelosi, Obama and others like them.
vaudine
I had thought that Joe Biden had been put entirely under wraps now, and had been whisked from sight and all mention in the news.
But like some relentless spook risen from the grave, he just keeps returning and returning. Can the Democrats do NOTHING to keep him quiet for good?
I don’t think Joe really wants to be part of any administration that shall be severely tested on the world stage in the next few months. That is why he is attempting sabotage (however feeble) of the chances for an Obama victory.
He’d better read my tagline.
Of course he won’t be excommunicated, and neither will Pelosi, who had pretty much the same politics. Why? Simple, the Catholic hierarchy is chicken. Has been for years and it isn’t going to change now. To a certain extent, they like wayward Catholics, so they can lean on them from time to time. Weasels. Personally, I’m not Catholic, and only mildly anti-abortion (I’d only restrict in the the 3rd trimester). This is hilarious stuff. The Catholic Church lacks the courage of its convictions, and it shows to everyone. Far cry from the saints being martyred for their faith.
