He seems to have given a lot of thought to a topic above his pay grade. Any doctor who would perform an abortion has already demonstrated callous disregard for the baby’s life; as someone said, why give him another chance to get it right when the child is born alive.

What is essential to understand regarding this quote from Obama is the purposed obfuscation and outright deceit. He is trying to prevent a bill from being passed that would extend medical treatment to alive, struggling babies forced to be born prematurely.
When he posed this argument, Barack Obama knew that this method for killing alive unborn children--called induced labor/induced delivery abortion--was an aboritonist method for killing alive children in abortion intention. But the method uses the purposed removal of Constitutional human rights in order to kill these babies this way!
What Barack Obama was arguing is a lie he knew to be a lie, yet he used it to try and stop medical attention for aalive infants completely separated from the mother's body! Obama's lie was carefully stated, "... doctors feel that they would be under that obligation ...", and he knew the method for killing alive unborn children was this abortion method of forcing very premature birth but he posed the lie that 'abortion doctors' would already feel they were under obligation to extend medical assistance to the very alive children the premature birth is designed to kill via neglect so that the alive, completely separate from the mother's body child struggles and dies, usually suffocating over a period of time which can vary from minutes to HOURS!
This man is a wicked deceitful servant of evil. And this effort to pose a lie he knows is a lie desgined to prevent this murder method from being restrained proves he will lie to empower himself politically. What is so astonishing is, there are democrat voters, even catholic democrat voters who will vote for this evil man anyway, even when shown the proof of his service to evil, the proof of his wickedness! I know, because I argue with just such blinded people almost weekly.
Forgive me folks, but the explanation of the lie Barry sought to use to empower himself politically via the purposed murder of alive prematurely born children incites a ‘re-ping’.

Purposely killing an alive, struggling child, completely separated from their mother’s body, well that’s murder, even if the abortionists intended for the premature child to be dead from abortion and used the fragile state of premature birth to kill them. This thing Obama sought to protect is contrary to the human rights to which Rick Warren referred at Saddleback, human rights guranteed by the Constitution. So the second thing we see in this lesson is that Barack Obama will certainly cancel Constitutional rights if it serves his intentions for empowerment!

The confusion of terminology is a useful tool to the evil the demcorat party uses to empwoer themselves through promoting open abortion. The termination fo a pregnancy is not technically an abortion. Killing an alive unborn child is aborting the pregnancy. The method being used in this evil that Obama tried to protect is forcing premature birth which leads to the death of the alive child as they struggle to try and breathe. It is mrder because the child is completely separated from the mother, and left unattended on purpose, alone, dying trying to breathe with premature lungs that are not even cleared of fluid from the biorthing process. Even wickedness is a bland word for such demonic evil Barack Obama worked to protect from being stopped.

Aren’t there laws against medical neglect? To me this is clearly homicide. If a woman has a child in secret and throws the child in the dumpster she is charged with murder should it be found the child took a breath. I think the same law should apply to mothers that have babies inside the hospital and they refuse to order treatment and the doctors that don’t try to save these born alive babies should not only be charged with neglect they should lose their license.

Listen, once upon an American time, more "doctors" -- like practicing OB/GYNs -- did abortions here and there. But upon pondering what they were actually doing -- dismembering their second patient in every case, more & more decided to hold on to the health side of their practice, thereby leaving the local dismembering & killing to the neighborhood gangs around them.
