Palin accuses Obama of gender bias

Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, in an appearance Tuesday in Nevada, accused Barack Obama of discriminating against women.

Palin, accompanied by a handful of former Hillary Clinton supporters, said that the Democratic presidential nominee "couldn't bring himself to pick the woman who got 18 million votes in the primaries" when he chose a vice president, The Washington Post (NYSE:WPO) reported.

"The qualifications are there, but for some reason the promotion never comes," she said. "You've got to ask yourself, why wasn't Senator Hillary Clinton even vetted by the Obama campaign?"

Lynn Rothschild, a member of the Democratic Platform Committee, Elaine Lafferty, a former editor-in-chief of Ms. Magazine, and some local leaders of the National Organization for Women joined Palin at the Henderson Pavilion. One NOW chapter in Los Angeles has endorsed Palin.

Palin also charged that women in John McCain's campaign are paid more equally than those in the Obama campaign. An Obama aide acknowledged the disparity, telling the Post that McCain has more senior staff who are women.

Imagine that; a minority discriminating against a minority.
Soon we will all be minorities and only Americans will be left as a majority.

So Obama doesn't like paying women much, and doesn't like having many on his senior staff, either.

I'm glad an "Obama aide" cleared that up!

Interesting tactic, but I seriously doubt Obama didn’t pick or vet Hillary because she is a woman. He didn’t pick her because he enjoys breathing.

He certainly did a job on Hillary in the primaries, and for bonus, successfully painted her husband as a racist. There cannot be good blood there, despite all the campaign smiles and assertions to the contrary.

Black men voted for 49 years before any women could. There are many more women than there are Blacks.

Women are far more disenfranchised, if voters need a symbol to vote for, Palin is far more valid than Obama.

If we are trying to exorcise a national embarassment, Obama should have chosen Hillary and this election is a done deal.

Why would he put his campaign at such risk?

Obama is that self-centered and arrogant.

The polls are all bogus, women Dems are largely not saying who they really plan to vote for.

Voting booth = payback time......

For now Hillary travels to various states at O’s expense.

All the while she is raising money to pay off her debt.

She flies, he buys.

If the Obama campaign and the media is going to keep our team on the defensive by crying racism every time someone opens his or her mouth (or chooses to wear white), I see no problem hitting them back with gender bias. Let them play defense a little, too.

ABout time they turned Palin loose. The woman has more guts and explanatory power than the entire cadre of Eunuchs in the Republican Party combined.

Palin is the best campaigner we have seen in a long time. She is giving Barry a lesson on how to gain identity support without playing the victim herself.
