You have a point. I think he's very encouyraged by his internals that's why he's relishing his 'underdog' status so much. He knows it'll whip his base into action as he struggles to pull ahead.
I don't know. I went to college a long time ago but even back then all the noise on campus was made by the left. They're the ones who put up all the fliers, ran the school paper, organized protests etc. etc. etc. However, the vast majority of students didn't have time for all that crap. We were busy in class and studying during the week and partying all weekend. We had a much of a silent majority on campus as existed in the 'real' world.
It makes perfect sense. Its Palin not Mccain. Although I wouldnt bet on that number making a difference in the election. Its always overhyped
