Decent, hard-working people were saying Irey could win. Snot-nosed punks who have never lifted a finger to help advance conservative causes or candidates retorted by saying Irey would never win.
That cycle has repeated itself with Bill Russell. Period.

As a consolation, I did remember the internal poll. *spit*
I recall two polls two years ago. A GOP poll showed Irey within ten, while a media poll showed the race closer to its final margin of 20 points.

I would be happy to see it too. But it is hard to believe people will vote against their pocketbook, although Murtha has said some incredibly dumb stuff.
