John McCain is moving ahead in Texas, where he now tops Barack Obama by 10 points, 54% to 44%, in the latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state.
For the four previous months, McCain has led by nine. His new 54% showing is also his highest ever since polling on the race in Texas began in the spring. Forty-four percent (44%) is also Obama's best showing to date.
Now just one percent (1%) of Texas voters say they are undecided.
Seventy-two percent (72%) believe McCain will carry the Lone Star State on Election Day,

A “Don’t Mess with Texas” Bump!
Personally, I think that the margin will be greater than that on election day.
:-)
Except for the crazies in Austin.
We are running about 4 to 1 Dem to Rep turnout in Travis County, so y’all need to help offset this in the rest of the state.
We have 99% McCain yard signs where I live.
It was reported last week when early voting began that the 0 thugs were trolling the post office and downtown. I wish I had run into them. They were wasting their time here!!
Let me put it to you this way, Noriega is such an awful Dem candidate that the Austin-American Statesman chose not to endorse him.
I just recently visited my Sister and they had a McCain/Palin sign in their yard , and I said thanks for the Welcome Sign :-)
There's no finer place to be. The people are good, the beer is cold and you can see almost anything you want without having to leave the state. Come for a visit and I'll bet you decide to stay!
Oh, and WAY more than half of us have a brain. Only two counties in the enire state voted largely democratic during the last presidential election.
Even when the Impeached Rapist was winning nationally by 8.5 points in 1996, he lost Texas by five points. If Obama comes within 15 points of McCain in Texas, I'll be quite surprised. (And since Rasmussen is giving Dems a six-point advantage, then 10+6=16... so factoring that into the equation this poll actually looks pretty decent).
I was gonna vote Monday, but at the Garland City Hall, there were NO PARKING SPACES, it was so crowded. So the next day, I went to my local Library polling place and was in and out in FIVE minutes.

My take is that the MSM / Lamestream Media is out to suppress the GOP vote.
They are WAAAAAAYYYY overpolling Democraps in their polls, IGNORING factual stories negative for Obama and doing EVERYTHING they can to SMEAR McCain and especially PALIN with their lies.
I think this will blow up in their faces. When GOP voters see the tainted polls slanted to favor Socialist Obama, the GOP fence-sitters will crawl across broken glass to KEEP the Socialist Obama outta the White House !!!
Here in Texas, the first day of Early Voting set ALL TIME records for turnout. ALMOST DOUBLE the old record (up almost 80%) !!!!
A friend of mine moved from the NE to around Dalla last year, loves the state and the conservative values.
Maybe Ron Paul, unlike John McCain (aka Bob Dole II), wouldn't be looking destined for a double-digit national loss on election night?
Of course - Texas Rocks! Can’t say that we’ve seen many Obama ads around these parts.
Cornyn got MY vote Tuesday, along with ALL GOP on my ballot.
I like him more than KBH, for sure.
You’re very welcome..........:)
