My Mother’s Birth Certificate...And Obama’s

Four years ago, when I had just about completed the lengthy legal and financial vetting process required by the U.S. government to place my then-92-year-old-mother in a nursing home, I was asked to produce her birth certificate as “proof” of her citizenship. While she was born in America, had voted in every election for untold decades, and paid her taxes religiously, that wasn’t good enough to qualify my elderly mother –deaf, legally blind, and confined to a wheelchair – to be admitted to the facility I had chosen for her near my home.

Frankly, I didn’t think finding my mother’s birth certificate was possible, given the fact that she had been born in a farmhouse in Storrs, CT, along with nine of her 10 siblings, to parents who didn’t speak English. Despairing that she would never be “qualified” to receive the care she desperately needed, I set about to find the document, which I was sure had vanished in the unreliable record-keeping of 1913.

First I called an official in Hartford, the capitol of Connecticut, who recommended that I call the Storrs record-keeping office.

That took two minutes.

Next I called the Storrs office and was told to call another number.

That took two minutes.

When I called the third number, I explained to the woman who answered the phone that I was “asking something impossible.” I gave her my mother’s first name and her father’s last name.

Within four minutes, she said, “Here it is!” She had found my mother’s birth certificate, and it surprised me when I learned my mother’s “real” first name and “real” last name had changed significantly as she and her family became Americanized.

With events in Hawaii putting the spotlight on Obama’s birth certificate, and their refusal to produce a legitimate copy, one has to wonder what they are hiding. A question that is just as big is why are liberals and their media allies not showing the least amount of curiosity with this issue; they simply circle the wagons and avoid finding the truth at all costs.

As I mentioned here before, I recently was in the running for a government contract and they went through an extremely thorough background check on me. I had to fill out about 25 pages of forms, show every where I lived since birth,show every job I ever had in my life (with names, addesses and phone numbers, show my original Birth Certificate, provide names of people who knew me when I went to high school and most of my relatives and on and on. They now know more about me then my wife does. I fully expected them to put on the rubber gloves at any second.

How can this guy run for President without even the most miniscule check into his past?

Connecticut keeps the birth certificates at the town level, not the county or state. This system works very well.

When I had to get my birth certificate, I went to the office in the city of my birth in Connecticut. I walked out in five minutes.

My wife had to contact the socialist province of Ontario. They were back-logged. It took them SEVEN MONTHS!

This is something that is so outrageous that it must change in my lifetime.

Foreign elderly, both legal and illegal, waltz into our moribund Social Security system, into the welfare rolls and all kinds of other bennies, and our domestic citizenry get terrorized at every turn when they can least deal with the "official" BS...

I do genealogy and have birth records from 1646 MA Bay Colony. Birth Certificates after about 1950 are only available to immediate family members but again this is not difficult with a letter and a signed affidavit.

It's been stated that BO's mother was married twice the first marriage ending in divorce. If so the divorce record is public record and not hindered by any privacy laws. Since there was a minor child involved in the divorce, there should be some documentation of the minor's birth.

This is a case where bureaucratic PC business as usual just won't hack it.

If I could not get social security benefits until I could produce a birth certificate after having lived in the United States (legally) most of my life, had the original certificate of Naturalization from 1959, and had held passports since 1968, how the hell can someone expect to run for the highest office in the land without similar scrutiny?

Isn't the bureaucracy complicit here?

The elections have already begun. I have already voted, and I had to wait in line to do so. Sen. Obama has successfully stalled his way out of this one. The only way we will ever see his birth certificate is to elect McCain.

Speaking of “Search”, I have tried to find a post from yesterday about Obama’s real fathers name and for the life of me I cannot find out how to do it. First word I think was “Breaking”, but that brought up nothing. I then added “Obama”, again nothing at least what I was looking for. Finally I added the name “John” since I think that was also in the title. Nothing. I even tried “Archive”. If anyone knows how to bring this up or remembers the post could you let me know? Thanks.

Me too. And that is why I think the "youth vote" will not pan out. Turnout in early voting states has been immense, as I'm sure it will be on Nov. 4. I didn't see a lot of 18-25 year-olds. I am sure that many "youth," especially those who are first-time registered, will not have the patience to wait an hour and a half the way I did.

It does not matter...

It does not matter if after the election it is shown that Obama is constitutionally unqualified to be president of the United States.

It does not matter if after the election it is shown that Obama received hundreds of millions of illegal campaign contributions from abroad.

It does not matter if after the election it is shown that Obama received millions of illegal votes from millions of illegally or registered voters.

It does not matter if any of these constitutional or legal impediments are shown before the election.

It does not matter because the system has broken down. It broke down in the Democrat party when they did not perform their obligations to America properly to vet their candidate. It broke down when George Soros and his cabal funded Obama and in effect subverted the traditional American electoral process. It broke down when the media surrendered every principle is ever laid claim to and went into the tank for Obama. It broke down when the nation failed to convict Bill Clinton in impeachment. It broke down when the great lie that George Bush told the 2000 election was permitted to stand. It broke down when George Bush's cease to defend his administration against critics.

The system is profoundly broken and it has been broken for some time. It is also broken in the legal and constitutional sense. It is broken to the point that if Barak Obama could tomorrow be shown beyond paradventure of doubt to be unqualified in the constitutional sense to be president of the United States because of foreign birth, he nevertheless will be elected and inaugurated.

There is no reason to believe otherwise than that the constitutional, legal, and moral perversions that are affecting the election will also affect the governance of the Obama administration, judicial review of its laws, media exposure of its crimes, and subsequent elections.
