Her team may be letting out the information on their own time schedule. They might know so much more than we do!
Would she get enough sympathy vote to win with his name on the ballot( too late to change it and DNC would designate her)? She would be able to control the electors if he is disqualified after the election but before the inauguration.
It is surely possible.
