Again, today in Townhall.com Ms. Parker attacks McCain - Palin.

Parker's psychobabble drivel, for which she is eminently unqualified to conjure up (no self-respecting psychiatrist would attempt such an embarrassing display of know-it-all hubris without a series of clinical examinations of the "patient"), is an embarrassment for Townhall to grant space on its otherwise creditable site. As long as Parker has chosen attractive women as her subject, she might have been better off examining and "diagnosing" how the self-loathing of women causes them to be distrustful of other (especially attractive) women, discounting their true achievements. Or...as long as we are talking about women, history has shown throughout all societies that the powerless never support the powerless.

So, just who should be the subject of the analysis here - McCain or Parker?

Why do you guys/gals let this woman bother you? Ignore her. She is finding some “celebrity” in the fact that she bashes Palin and all of a sudden the media want to talk to her.

When the election is over, she will be hated again by the media. Her column will not be read by true conservatives anymore, and she’ll probably pull a Scott McLellan. Big deal. She influences NOBODY.

Let us hope she pulls a rare media “mea culpa” and take back her words when/if Sarah Palin turns out to be a fine leader.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but can you name ANY of the so-called conservative pundits who didn’t think Ronald Reagan could cut the mustard? I don’t know if ANY OF THOSE PEOPLE are around anymore...maybe they are, but the point is they didn’t and couldn’t stop the conservative grass roots from voting. They are the chattering classes. Let them chatter. We’re the ones who can effect change. When we concentrate on these elitists—even the “conservative” elitists—we spin our wheels.

I am not optimistic about the election, but I certainly believe concentrating on this type of stuff is counterproductive.

Parker is a minor player. It would probably be better just to ignore her. Her vitriol is not "feeding" the left any more than any of the other cranks on the left.

Remember, columists live and die by their readership; the only ways they have to prove their readership are reactionary letters and/or letters to the editor.

She is desparately in need of attention, and that's what this drivel she writes is all about. Look at her...she can't even stay in the same room with Sarah Palin.

What has Parker accomplished in her life? A journalism degree....(maybe, but there's no hard stretch there); writes and op-ed column...we all do that everyday on Free Republic, only we don't get paid for it. But, maybe if we could sleep with an editor somewhere we'd get paid for ours too.

Get rid of Kathleen Parker and you might have a website worth visiting. Her anti-Palin rhetoric is beyond the pale. Only catty women love cat fights. And when they're made public they destroy the instigator. Hopefully, that will be Ms. Parker's fate.

As to Gov. Palin's credentials, another office seeker years ago was considered unelectable, untested, without sufficient experience, and a dolt by many to boot. He wasn't running for the vice presidency but for the presidency itself. Because of a fractured Democrat party he won the office. He then went on to be one of the greatest presidents this country has ever had. Abraham Lincoln, I suggest, would be happy to have someone of Gov. Palin's qualities as his second in command.

You (Townhall.com) and Parker in particular are making fools of yourselves.

She hurts herself more with this garbage than the McCain/Palin campaign. She’s obviously delusional. Her credentials within the conservative movement were already destroyed before this piece was even published. She may as well go register as a Democrat since that’s who she is talking to now.

Let Townhall.com know how you feel. I did. Neither they nor their advertisers will get one dime of my money. The conservative movement will survive with or without Townhall.com. I can and will find most of what I find there somewhere else. And I can do so without having to sift through hysterical rants.

Suppose KP’s premise is accurate. Seems to me she is only seeing the downside of this phenomena. I remember the president of Pakistan being Fatwa’d because of his appreciation of the lovely and gracious Mrs. Palin. Suppose the old goats with whom we will have to deal, are inexplicably disarmed by these same charms.

KP thinks it works on McCain, well then I most disrespectfully ask the most intelligent and beautiful Ms. Parker to be intellectually honest and examine the plus side of the equation.

A wise man once said that a woman could never be president. When I pressed the issue he indicated that the reason this would be impossible was that women in business and politics would attack each other out of jealousy and would subconsciously hold contempt against one another. I dismissed this when I heard it. But in the two occasions on which a woman in my environment has achieved a high level of accomplishment, other women have undermined her. I still hold hope that this is not the case but when otherwise rational women fire off such drivel as this, it makes me wonder? It would be sad if this actually plays a role.
