Michigan voter roll surges to 98%
Detroit News | October 24, 2008 | Mark Hornbeck

Posted on 10/24/2008 9:17:01 AM PDT by Zakeet

The Detroit News is a Gannett publication so we can't post excerpts -- only this LINK.

However, the gist of the story is that according to the Michigan Secretary of state, voter registration is way up despite decreasing population -- to 98 percent of the state's voting age population.

The increase comes from strong RAT areas such as college towns and Detroit.

The Rat Secretary of State is pleased people are so excited about the election.

They must be second Nationally, now, with Philadelphia having 105% voting Democrat in the 2004 elections!

Throw Michigan in the toilet! The McCain handlers saw that a month ago and wisely decided not to throw any more money into that union rathole.

Forget about Michigan, we are a lost cause. Too much union mentality and heavy Arabic population. If we pull it out in Michigan it is a bonus, but help some other state that can really make a difference.

98% of the eligible citizens in any state being registered is very suspect.

As I’ve said before, our greatest fear is that under Obama’s leadership there will be UNPRECEDENTED fraud in this election. This is an obvious sign of it.

Our biggest hope in a state like Michigan is that union members will go to the polls like good little boys, but that the white workers among them will then vote for McCain once they get into the voting booth. And Obama won’t gain that much from blacks—98% instead of 95%.

But I fear that the scale of election fraud will simply overwhelm the actual vote.

There’ll be more than a few Michigan towns/cities with more “voters” than people.

And Michigan won’t be alone.

98% that is impossible.

Michigan

Except for the Red Wings , the rest of their Sports teams are so bad it isn't funny.

Ford, GM and Chrysler are dead companies walking.

And 98% of the people are so excited to Vote.

They are a third World state.

Kind of like those 6 counties in Alabama where registered voters outnumber those eligible to vote.

Michigan -does- have voter ID, and will enforce it for the first time in years (if ever) 11/4. I believe we were waiting for the Supremes to decide on Indiana's law.

However, there are loopholes.

No ID is needed for absentee.

If you do not have ID when you arrive at the polls, you can self certify that you forgot it but that you are who you say you are.

If your ID is a Michigan driver's license, then the address on it has to match the voter's record (which it should since the Secretary of State runs both.) However, if your ID is not a drivers license then the address, if present, does not need to match.

So, more holes than a collendar.

Over 100% voter participation in Democrat precincts have already somehow occurred. A little more power, and they can corrupt the system entirely. Its become pretty clear that the judiciary isn't going to remedy this. The Republican politicians are afraid of raising a stink. The MSM doesn't want this kind of "story line". And America gets screwed.

God help us.

A high voter turn out is bad news for any Republican.

If the polls are backed up around the corner with people waiting to vote I`d wager to guess a lanslide for democrats.

It wouldn’t make a difference to Republicans or conservatives (nationally) if the Michigan voter rolls surged to 120%, or 200%. Not one whit of a difference.

The reason is that Michigan is now a blue state, never to vote red again.

There is no future chance to capture the state’s electoral votes, nor its Senators, and not more than one or two Congressmen (if indeed there are any Republican Congressmen from MI at all, I’m sure others will step in and correct me).

So - from a national standpoint - Michigan voter fraud is inconsequential to Republican and conservative goals and elections. One might as well be talking about Republicans from Massachusetts, or Vermont.

So long, Michigan. (Apologies to conservatives who still live there, your best bet, and only chance to gain a politically meaningful voice - is to move.)

- John

Yes, Michigan with no voter id or drivers lic. required,

College students are proud that they are able to vote 6 or 7 times and go district hopping to see how many votes they can get in before the polls close.

9 of the 15 Congressmen are Republicans, we still hold the state senate, we have a Supreme Court Majority, and in 2004 won all except 13 counties.

Man on man people are ignorant about this state.

Muslim stronghold.

Nonsense. There are a few communities in the mitten where Muslims make up a large minority of the population, but that can't be called a stronghold, not even in those communites. Statewide, Muslims are a small percentage of the population.

We're a UAW, MEA, Teamsters and state employee union stronghold. We're a stronghold for welfare recipients. We're a stronghold for anyone living off the gubmint teat. Muslims? Nah.

Mike Rogers (8th US Congressional) is as solid a conservative Republican as you’re likely to find. Tim Walberg (7th US) is equally conservative, but he’s facing a tough reelection for a sophomore term. Several other US GOPers, but they get more RINO every day.

I’d venture to say that it’s statistically impossible. Or at least bureaucratically (sp) impossible that their records are up-to-date to know what 98% is.

Fear not, they will probably all vote!

I have a friend who voted today they asked for her voting card and drivers licence.

I just moved here in June got a drivers licence and my voters card, a few weeks ago I got Michigan voters card and told to throw away the other one I had just received.

You know I still have my other drivers licence from NY I could have gotten an Absentee Ballot and voted twice.

Makes you wonder how many people have done this in serveral states.

I think this election should be on hold until this is straighten corrected.

A nation of legal tax payers will be disenfranchised

I love Michigan and it is a great state that needs prayers and faith for God did raise a lot of great inventors and other unique people here.

And the History of this state has in scheme of things is rich...

Don’t listen to those others who are short sighted.

I am going to buy stock in Ford, GM, and Chrysler they are the Goose that laid the Golden eggs for the USA, so many other industries were started to help the auto industries to build a car.

It is the enemies within that are trying to dismantle God country.

I am rooting for the gifts that God gave this nation.

And Jimmy Hoffa should go be a union leader for Red China...
