Of course I know about all the internet gossip about Senator Obama’s birth. Many of you (thousands?) have written me saying he was not born in the USA ( a Constitutional requirement for President) …. the rumors are flying around the internet and overloading my inbox and is viral. It doesn’t stop! I have thought the emails a waste of keyboard time and have ignored them.
However, since the emails just won’t stop…and since it really is a topic that should be put to rest and can be done with such ease, I now think Senator Obama should release his birth certificate but I also think, to be fair, so should the other 3….yes, all 4.
So, let’s have it! All 4 need to release their birth certificates to prove each was born in the USA and thus constitutionally able to serve as President. Let’s insist that all 4 release birth certificates and put the matter to rest! (and yes, stop the emails to me!)
Until this is done, the rumors simply will not stop and rumors are not fair…it is not fair to Senator Obama and he also should not be blackmailed into producing the records…so, if all 4 must produce, that seems fair.
Let’s see them….and then let’s move on.

I have no problems with that. but most people at Fox are convinced Obama is not hiding anything. he is hiding something, it is just speculation at what it is.
The McCain campaign needs to jump on this and do it asap. Not, of course, that I think they will.
But Greta is right. Forcryinoutloud, I had to produce my birth certificate to get my driver’s license renewed this summer.
Greta loves the Palins, and she’s not even trying to hide it anymore.

Apparently Barry Hussein Obama cannot produce his records, and apprently if he does he will be disqualified.
He is a fraud the truth will out!
Someone email her and tell her McCain already did produce a vault version-in front of reporters. Ask her why Obama chose to release his only to the Annenberg Factcheck. Why are they the only outlet that gets to see it? Why is he not releasing it in response to being sued?
There is only one of the four who benefits from this remaining a rumor, and that’s The One. That’s why it won’t happen, Greta.

My respect too, and I would’ve previously thought it pretty unlikely!
I think she is pretty taken with Sarah Palin. Greta has always been a plain talker and pretty honest, although I always took her to be quite liberal. In any case, good on her!
And the hospitals of the other three should produce the other (three) birth certificates.
I do not trust the Obama campaign in this matter.

I like and agree w/ Greta about everyone releasing one. Even so, I still this whole story stinks. All this guy has to do is spend $10 and provide an authentic document. When I signed up my daughters for soccer a few months ago I HAD to provide birth certificates!! How is it a man running for president not held accountable to produce this???
Let them both hold up their birth certificates and declare, "We Showed You Ours, Now Show Us Yours!!"

Why is it so difficult to require a person running for president to have a legitimate copy on file?
Rhetorical, I know.
You have to produce a birth certificate to get a passport, a drivers license, a marriage certificate and many other things. I can’t believe that when you have a constitutional requirement to hold public office that you don’t have to produce the evidence that you meet those requirements before you are placed on the ballot. If we don’t require proof of birth for age and citizenship purposes, anybody could run for office just by making false claims. That is ludicrous. I have no problem with Greta’s solution, but I am amazed that all 4 aren’t already required to produce their BC’s.

Could we get hundreds of people into a stinking BO rally and demand the question in full front of the media?
Do we make a giant banner and drape it at his next rally or hire a plane to drag a banner around his next stadium performance asking him if he’s Kenyan or Indonesian?
There should be one un the city where he was born, as well as the state’s records office. For an international adoption I had to produce both forms.
Why would Obama care if we waste time pursuing this birth certificate story? Sure, he’ll release his birth certificate - on November 5th.
Ok... EXCUSE ME Greta, but how is it BLACKMAILING someone WHEN IT IS A REQUIREMENT BY THE CONSTITUTION of the USA to be a natural born citizen???? Get ur head out!! Hussein Obama has an obligation to provide this to the citizens of the USA. (Republican, Independent, Democrat, Socialist etc etc)
It’s time for Obama to get over whatever it is that might embarrass somebody and just lay it all out. I don’t care if the guy is illegitimate or if his father was somebody else. I just want his eligibility established once and for all. Put the vault birth certificate out and let’s deal with it.

Getting back to the matter at hand. We know McCain is eligible, because there was a ruling that his birth on US Government property in Panama (I think) complied with the eligibility requirement. Palin and Biden are certainly eligible. So, who does that leave? Hmmmm. Perhaps the man who’s entire past is a mystery?
Have you noticed that this birth certificate business is catching on? First Rush, and now Greta. I’d bet Hannity will be all over it this afternoon.
They’re right. Call a press conference, produce the raised seal original certificate and move on. At the end of the day, he either has it or he doesn’t.
(This is oversimplifying things to some degree in that he may have been a citizen, gave it up when he was Indonesia, and was renaturalized. But that would make him ineligible, same as Arnold...)
