Palin stylist draws higher pay than policy adviser (BREAKING HAIR NEWS ALERT!)

WASHINGTON (AP) -- An acclaimed celebrity makeup artist for Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin collected more money from John McCain's campaign than his foreign policy adviser.

Amy Strozzi, who works on the reality show "So You Think You Can Dance" and has been Palin's traveling stylist, was paid $22,800, according to campaign finance reports for the first two weeks in October. In contrast, McCain's foreign policy adviser, Randy Scheunemann, was paid $12,500, the report showed.

In recent days, McCain and his running mate have tried to douse a furor over how their side spent their money. The Republican National Committee came under scrutiny after the party committee reported earlier this week that it had spent about $150,000 in September on wardrobe and cosmetics after Palin joined the GOP ticket.

In an interview with the Chicago Tribune and Fox News on Thursday, Palin said the clothes bought for the Republican National Convention were not worth $150,000 and said most have not left her campaign plane. She also said the family shops frugally.

And Joe Biden still said something he should not have said. Talking about Sarah Palin will not change that.

Gore hired a fashion stylist for 180,000.00 a year. Donna Brazille cut her pay to “only” 60,000.00.

Well, we know for sure that michelle’s spending obama’s money on champagne and caviar brunches while lounging in ritzy hotels.

Actually that is a pretty smart campaign. The stylist will probably get more votes for the ticket than the policy wonks.

Policy wonks are a dime a dozen.

A great Hairdresser should be coddled - tipped in gold - set on a pedestal and worshipped.

It is truly a crisis of major proportions when the person you trust with your hair, quits the salon and goes 50 miles away.

Viva All (really good) Hairdressers!

FYI, the NY Post later had to print a retraction, since the story was not true.

Is the stylist a contractor who hires additional contractors to complete other functions?

For example, Stylist A is paid by the McCain campaign for her services like a construction contractor. That person then pays 5 people to do X, 3 people to do Y, etc. Although on the report, it looks like you are hiring one person, you are actually hiring a service that employs many people.

Versus a campaign adviser is one person.

I’ll gladly pay twice as much for a skill rather than an opinion. Lefties think opinions are of value inherently rather than value judged.

McCain doesn’t desperately NEED foreign policy advisors like Obama does. No wonder they think this is an outrage.

BTW, Sarah’s still as SMOKIN’ HOT as she ever was, SMOKIN’ HOT as she ever was....

I always notice Nancy Pelosi is wearing the largest pearls I’ve ever seen! And she wear the tahitian pearls that are gray, but are shiny and glow with differnt colors.
They are beautiful, and a regular size necklace of that type can cost $1,800.00, with the really good kinds $10,000 plus.
What would the HUGE pearl necklace cost?

Policy advisors are cheap in Washington. Good stylists are hard to find.

ROTFLMAO!!! True! Very, very true! I have witnessed first hand what miracles a touch notch Hollywood makeup artist can do. It's worth the money.
