So, the Pittsburgh Caper appears to have been a partial or total hoax. Mea culpa, mea culpa, for following the blogospheric herd in order to be on top of what seemed to be a breaking story.
For all you hard-hearts and women-haters, let me note that this kind of bid for attention, one that includes self-mutilation, does not necessarily mean that nothing happened....

Just after the Duke case there were a number of morons insisting, "SOMETHING" happened. Not, apparently, what the victim claimed, nor anything else which could be proven, but SOMETHING!!!!

Something happened here....this troubled young woman managed to portray McCain/Palin supporters and volunteers as liars and pyschos.(sp?. Whether she did it on purpose or thought she was “helping” are two different questions.
How do we know she is really a McCain supporter? Maybe she’s a nObama suporter that’s trying to make the GOP look bad.
How do we know she wasn’t FORCED by the Obama campaign to do this
Does it matter?
The Sheep have receieved The Word, and saw that it was good.
Any possibility she was a democrat plant all along? Who are her parents and how do they vote? Check he friends and associates in Texas an get a little more background on her.
I missed the part about her working the phone banks for McCain. Oh well, apparently there are many varieties of nuts out there.
