Chet Edwards is lying by using a partial truth. Corporations pay income taxes. Those taxes are a cost to businesses. They pass that cost onto the consumer at each stage of production in the form of higher prices. The total of these taxes is just shy of 23%. A $1.00 includes 23 cents of taxes.
The Fair Tax will remove all embedded corporate income taxes since income taxes will be abolished. The $1.00 will cost 77 cents under The Fair Tax with the 23 cents applied separately as the national sales tax. 23/77=30%. Consequently the amount of tax collected will be the same amount as with the income tax. It is this simple concept Fair Tax opposers like Edwards attempt to distort. Fair Tax ping!

So for anyone to say the Fairtax would be a tax cut for anyone but a corporation is a lie then.
