They read Free Republic and got grossed out by all the hatred expressed towards them here.

We could have had the Latino (that is, born-here or legal immigrant) vote if we had tried for it or at least been civil. Not all Hispanics are illegal, poor, on welfare, or want to speak Spanish to the 5th generation. But people here and in the GOP in general lumped them all together with the Dem’s specially tended group of dysfunctionals, and this is the result.

Repeating Dem talking points, eh? It was the Democrats and MSM that painted Republicans as opposed to ‘immigrants’. Which is to be expected; they have staked most of their electoral success for now and into the foreseeable future calling conservatives racists, and watching as the aggrieved minorities flock to the party that supposedly doesn’t hate them.

So true. The GOP also shoved out the very constituency the party was created for: Black Americans.
