The Obama commie spokesman:

-----------------------------------------

"In this interview back in 2001, Obama was talking about the civil rights movement – and the kind of work that has to be done on the ground to make sure that everyone can live out the promise of equality," Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton says. "Make no mistake, this has nothing to do with Obama’s economic plan or his plan to give the middle class a tax cut. It’s just another distraction from an increasingly desperate McCain campaign."

Burton continues: "In the interview, Obama went into extensive detail to explain why the courts should not get into that business of 'redistributing' wealth. Obama’s point – and what he called a tragedy – was that legal victories in the Civil Rights led too many people to rely on the courts to change society for the better. That view is shared by conservative judges and legal scholars across the country.

"As Obama has said before and written about, he believes that change comes from the bottom up – not from the corridors of Washington," Burton says. "He worked in struggling communities to improve the economic situation of people on the South Side of Chicago, who lost their jobs when the steel plants closed. And he’s worked as a legislator to provide tax relief and health care to middle-class families. And so Obama’s point was simply that if we want to improve economic conditions for people in this country, we should do so by bringing people together at the community level and getting everyone involved in our democratic process."

---------------------------------------

ROFLMAO- quite the spinnin going on. Mr. Burton is going to find his explanation very very inadequate. What a f**** liar.

It’s utterly amazing that the McCain campaign has to depend on us for their opposition research. Sheesh.

As posted on another of your threads, Obama's "redistribute the wealth" philosophy for the courts, the executive and legislative branches of government is diametrically opposed to the basic principle underlying the U. S. Constitution, as summarized in this essay, reprinted with permission from "Our Ageless Constitution," Bicentennial Edition (1987):

Private Property Rights

- A basic Premise Of America's Constitution

Tired of having the fruits of their labors confiscated by an overpowering British government, America's Founders declared themselves free and independent.

Most American schoolchildren can recite their claim that ". all men are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights ... to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." Less familiar, however, are these lines from their Declaration of Independence:

"He ( King George III ) has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance .... He has combined with others to subject us, ... imposing taxes on us without our consent."

What, then, did the Founders consider to be the real cornerstone of man's liberty and happiness? On what basic premise did they devise their Constitution? Let them speak for themselves:

John Adams

"The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God ... anarchy and tyranny commence. PROPERTY MUST BE SECURED OR LIBERTY CANNOT EXIST"

James Madison

"Government is instituted to protect property of every sort .... This being the end of government, that is NOT a just government,... nor is property secure under it, where the property which a man has ... is violated by arbitrary seizures of one class of citizens for the service of the rest."

Their guiding principle was that people come together to form governments in order to SECURE their rights to property - not to create an entity which will, itself, "take from the mouths of labor the bread it has earned." What was wrong for individual citizens to do to one another, they believed, was equally wrong for government to do to them.

The right to own property and to keep the rewards of individual labor opened the floodgates of progress for the benefit of the entire human race. Millions have fled other countries to participate in the Miracle of America.

...getting everyone involved in our democratic process."

Snort. More like the shakedown process.

Note to the spokesflack: Nice try, though.

ABC's headline, doing some spinning of it's own.

ABC doesn't report this as as new audio of Obamah, but rather reports on MeCain's "attack" upon That One.

"to attack him"

I saw McCain make a statement this morning and say NOTHING about the Marxist Reparationist's radio interview. When is he "going" to attack Obama? A week from Tuesday?

Socialists mainly share the belief that capitalism unfairly concentrates power and wealth among a small segment of society that controls capital and creates an unequal society. All socialists advocate the creation of an egalitarian society, in which wealth and power are distributed more evenly..

This is a HUGE issue. If it wern’t you would not see such a long-winded defense from Burton.

Their norm is to either A.) blow it off and let libmedia CTA. Or B.) a one sentence brush off.

This, they know, is BIG.

My local ABC news channel will be doing a week long political program every evening this week.
I forwarded this info to them, and asked that they include it in there news.

Yeah, the Obama response is essentially ‘pay no attention to what Obama actually said.’

And it is quite germane to his fiscal policy proposals and this election. The Obama campaign’s argument is “trust him, because of what he believes.” Well, I think it’s now quite clear what he truly beleives.

The sad thing is, it took some random citizen on the internets to dig this up and release it, instead of the professional “journalists” who presumably know more about seeking the truth than the average Joes out there with a modem.

Funny thing is, McCain didn’t mention the radio interview in his speech this morning. And posting a link to the interview is no big deal - gives the impression “hey, we aren’t scared for you to hear this” - but, they know very few people will actually take the trouble to listen. It’s boring and in these days, if it takes more than a few seconds, people don’t do it.

In the interview Obama made it quite clear how wealth redistribution for certain preferred racial classes will now have to come from the legislative branch. And the thing that is alluded to is that the judiciary branch will have to be reshaped such that it will disregard the Constitution and create the power of the government to confiscate the assets of citizens.
