As I look at the pics in those links, no... I can’t say my finger looks like that.

Not really a rash at all. Just very dark red and slightly swollen.

Oh, well then either follow Petronski's advice or do what I do and sandblast the area for approx. 4 minutes followed by a good scrubbing with a wire brush.
