Gun rights cause a flare-up between candidates in Senate debate (Al Franken & Norm Coleman)

"Franken said he is not a hunter, but went hunting for the first time last year with U.S. Rep. Collin Peterson of western Minnesota."

Anytime a politician starts mentioning hunting when the subject of the 2nd Amendment comes up, I automatically tune them out. It's obvious at that point that they do not understand the 2nd Amendment. Unfortunately, even many Republicans do this.

That's why I liked Fred Thompson the best. When he wanted to tout his 2nd Amendment creds during the primary, he visited gun shows and gun stores. He understands what it's all about.
