Even Female Conservative Pundits Embrace Palin Bashing
Pajamas Media ^ | October 28, 2008 | Pam Meister

For a number of weeks now, conservative Beltway insiders Kathleen Parker and Peggy Noonan, among others, have narrowed their sights not on the Democratic candidate for president, but the Republican candidate’s running mate. Sarah Palin has brought out something in them that rivals the ‘80s sitcom Full House when it comes to the shudder factor.

Why beautiful, accomplished women like Parker and Noonan would join the MSM pile-on of the beautiful, accomplished woman from Alaska is, on its face, confusing.

But for anyone who knows anything about how DC works, maybe it’s not so confusing after all....

Never fear....when the election is over and we all have time to concentrate, we'll take care of these two witches (evil leer, here).

We won't forget, girls.

Nancy Reagan was right about Noonan. Noonan is only a spouter of nonsense.

These two witches are not conservative’s they are RINO’s.

BINGO. Exactly. Some of MythROMNEY's "Harpies of Hate".

"You will embrace this rebellion. Support it, from our lands in
the north. I will gain English favor by condemning it and
ordering it opposed from our lands in the south. Whichever way
the tide runs, we will rise."

Why are these two women lifted up as “conservative women journalists”. The vast landscape of conservative women journalists support if not are enthusiastic about Palin. These two are like mounted heads on the liberal wall.

I suspect that Parker and Noonan are much more interested in being thought well of by the chattering class they care about the direction of this country. Peggy Noonan is especially disappointing, although she has been sliding towards disappointment for the past several years.

There are a lot of people inside the Beltway who's party affiliation is just window dressing. They are interested in being "insiders", with all the benefits that go to being an insider. They feel threatened at the thought of all their connections and relationships being made less valuable due to "outsiders" being let in.

We are going to win this. I’ve seen the crowds people are coming out of the woodwork for the ticket and for Palin. We will show up on election day.

Defining something as a “Stereotype” rather than “true” is what we sometimes do when we don’t like a true statement.

The simple truth is that women often do compete like this. I’m told by many folk at work who have gone through it that the worse work situation is an office full of women with a woman boss. That apparently is hell on earth.

I never understood the Peggy Noonan love. She walks around with her noise in the air like she’s a blue blood.

She’s from Brooklyn for goodness sake.

yes, but plenty of women on political TV are defending Palin just fine from the traitorous shrew crowd.

Parker I’d never heard of. Noonan had always been lite and showed herslef trampy talking when the mikes were left on.

If Greta Van Sustern has become a Palin advocate....though balanced...that tells you something.

Megyn Kendall...God bless her.

"supporting a conservative candidate takes a backseat to their own self-interest."

Sooner or later all of these self-interested, fair weather "conservatives" are going to try to come back into the fold. They are wolves in sheep's clothing and we should ignore them from here on out.

“Wonder if they approve of the Sarah Palin HANGING IN EFFIGY in CALIFORNIA???”

Is that really happening?

I’ve no way of knowing, because, for some reason, the media haven’t reported it.

I have ALWAYS hated the SOUND of Peggy Noonan’s voice....so condescending....now I can’t stand the sight of her printed words. This election is certainly FLUSHING out the RINO’S!!!

Frankly, I’ve found their writing to be a bit of fresh air.

They may be totally off the mark about Palin, but they are writing their insights. And for that, the Palin torch and pitchfork brigage are suddenly ready to storm the town and burn the witches.

I don’t agree with all they write about Palin. But I do believe their assessment is closer to reality than those who drink the Palin koolaid.

Mark my words, she is the Dan Quayle of 2008.

Noonan and Parker remind me of weak-spirited teenaged girls who, in their desperation to be popular, join ranks with the beautiful, but cruel and ignorant, cheerleaders. Noonans and Pakers are just pretty enough, just smart enough, just rich enough to fit in. But "just." The popular kids begrudgingly make room at their lunch tables for Noonans and Parkers, but privately ridicule them for being uncool.

Girls like Parker and Noonan allow the jocks and cheerleaders to cheat off their exams, write their term papers, and do all the work on group projects. They compromise their integrity in the name of acceptance. Alas the invitations to the post-game beer bashes and Homecoming dances never come.

Meanwhile, the Sarah Palins of the world run student government, edit the school newspaper, sing in the choir, and letter in Varsity sports. They recognize the vacuous nature of the cool kids. Sarahs know they aren't part of the in-crowd and don't care.

Sarahs become the well-rounded women with happy families and succesful marriages.

The Noonans and Parkers never understand what makes the Sarahs likeable. The subject of admiration. They grow into adults who scorn the Sarahs because they can't achieve that which blossoms naturally within a Sarah: honesty, personal fulfillment, integrity, grace, and the kind of outward beauty that comes from having a beautiful spirit.
