I bet at this point that Powell wishes that he had kept his mouth shut. His possibility for a cabinet position may not be looking as sure as it did days ago. He really disgraced himself, bad! I appreciate his service, but he betrayed the men and administrations that had been so good to him!!

What department? Defense? I would hope McCain could convince Gates to stay on for a while. Lieberman at State would seem likely, though personally I'd like to see him stay in the Senate and caucus with the GOP. Hell, Specter's to the left of him.

What I really meant was that I think Powell jumped ship for a cabinet position in Obama’s administration. However, things aren't looking as well for Obama as they were just days ago. No, I wouldn't have wanted McCain to give Powell a position, but as liberal leaning as McCain is, I wouldn't doubt the possibility. I have always thought that Powell was a RINO.
