Obama supporters have lampooned Sarah Palin for saying that a vice president is "in charge of the U.S. Senate." That is not a strict reading of the Constitution and its envisioned duties for the vice president, they acidly remark. But what do they care about strict readings of the Constitution? According to them, an evolving or "living" Constitution trumps the literal words of the document.

Obama's "living" Constitution is a dead Constitution -- just a blank piece of paper on which his judges will write whatever they please..."
This is creeping tyranny cast as "change." The whole point of a written constitution with prescribed procedures for its official change is to prevent this tyranny ..."
For all these people who make fun of Palin for saying the VP can run the Senate... they should look up how our first VP, John Adams, did indeed run the Senate... made speeches from the floor... made rulings in support of his personal agenda, etc. The Senate backlashed and passed rules giving little authority to the President of the Senate BUT the VP remains President of the Senate and the Constitution itself did not restrict that office to just a little power. It was the Senate that changed it. So Palin in saying she wants to reclaim that power is absolutely historically accurate.
Clinton, Obama and Biden have proven to me without a doubt
You can put out the most egregious BS there is - and as long as you do it smoothly, confidently, without blinking, (and with the MSM on yr. side) it will be accepted legitimate.
