It seems that some people are confused about the recent articles requesting them to Digg It. Hopefully this will help explain this.
Digg.com is a website to which all manor of video and pictures can be posted. Currently it is overrun by libs and Dems, but if we flex our muscle we may be able to change that a bit. What we are attempting to do is post videos and other information to the Digg site and then encourage other Freepers to "DiggIt". This is like casting a vote for the video, the more votes, the more prominence the video will have on the Digg page.
Digg is a huge site which is visited by thousands of people each day. This is just another way for us to reach people, who are not members of FreeRepublic, and hopefully educate them as to the importance of this election.
I hope this clarifies things a little.

The information below is from the Digg site:
Digg is a place for people to discover and share content across the web, from the biggest online destinations to the most obscure blog. Digg surfaces the best stuff as voted on by our users.
Every article submitted to Digg has a count of how many Diggs the story has received. You need to be signed-in to Digg a story. For every registered user that clicks "Digg it" the count goes up one. If a story reaches the tipping point, then it gets promoted to the homepage
Comments left to the various posted Diggs can be “Dugg” up or down, as well.
Help up present the missing side of the picture!

Well said.
We would have as much luck changing DU.
I like Digg a lot, but get frustrated over everyone blaming Bush and the Republicans for everything in every article.
I went to the Digg site and the messages that were being left by the posters where...psychotic to say the least..
I joined last night after GodGunsGuts post. Thanks for giving some additional details. I’m sure I’ll eventually catch on!
I used to go to Digg a lot to read tech news, but finally removed the link from my bookmarks due to the huge amount of left wing rag material that was being posted there. I have to admit that it is sort of fun to go there now and read the posts where Freepers are letting the liberals have it with both barrels. I do think that we are late for this election season, but this is a seed that needs to grow.
Be part of the solution. I’ve been posting articles there for months. Helps expose people to the truth. Definitely more challenging than preaching to the choir but could well be worth it.
DIGG is SO far in the tank for Obama, that while I admire your intention, it will fall on Lefty ears.
DIGG is very big. I’ve used it for some time, but quit a few months ago because all of the pro obama articles making it to the top of the list. I could show you a link to the top Palin DIGGs and they are all horrible hit pieces....this is what the dems are using for news. FR must get into DIGG in a big way to compete with that group and bring some light.
Thanks for this post. I will use it whenever the inevitable question arises “Why in the heck to you want us to waste our time over at Digg?” Thanks again.

Lets make it a hot link
How many articles about Digg do I have to read every day on Free Republic?
I’m diggin it!
It's entirely up to you whether you read any or not.
On Digg you can search by URL. For example, you can search for “nytimes” in the URL and search for “All stories” and sort by newest first; then down vote every story.
Killing the visibility and viability of the NYT slowly, a few clicks at a time.
