Obama now on track for Electoral College majority
AP via SFGate ^ | 10/29//8 | LIZ SIDOTI, Associated Press Writer

Barack Obama has pulled ahead in enough states to win the 270 electoral votes he needs to gain the White House — and with states to spare — according to an Associated Press analysis that shows he is now moving beyond typical Democratic territory to challenge John McCain on historically GOP turf.

Even if McCain sweeps the six states that are too close to call, he still seemingly won't have enough votes to prevail, according to the analysis, which is based on polls, the candidates' TV spending patterns and interviews with Democratic and Republican strategists. McCain does have a path to victory but it's a steep climb: He needs a sudden shift in voter sentiment that gives him all six toss-up states plus one or two others that now lean toward Obama.

Obama has 23 states and the District of Columbia, offering 286 votes, in his column or leaning his way, while Republican McCain has 21 states with 163 votes. A half dozen offering 89 votes — Florida, Indiana, Missouri, North Carolina, Nevada and Ohio — remain up for grabs. President Bush won all six in 2004, and they are where the race is primarily being contested in the homestretch.

Yeah. As I recall the AP was calling Iraq an American loss not so very long ago. Great analysts over there.

Its all a setup people. They want to discourage GOP voter turnout and they’ll try it again on Tuesday. Mark my words, the turds in the MSM will call the election for Obama very early on Tuesday and then when McCain wins they’ll claim it was racism that cost Obama/Soetoro.

Geees I guess the American people are too smart for this SMEAR campaign.....It’s not working......
which makes me think of all the negativity coming out of FOX news, you might wonder if this “foreigner” Murdoch, is trying to overthrow our system with a barrage of lies and smears ? And how about Palin ? she addressed a group “this year” who is in favor of seceding from the US, and her hubby is a standing memeber ? With all those natural resources up there in Alaska, wouldn’t that be a good reason for their actions ?
According to her last meeting with them that she addressed as Governer, she wished them well......

Maybe it’s time for a little introspection.......no wonder we wind up with leaders we can’t stand, one side gives them a free ride because they are too preoccupied with their competition.....I am not a lefty, just a disappointed Bush voter.

I fear that McCain will win the popular vote while losing the Electorial College.

Look on the bright side. At least, we would stop hearing the calls to abolish the electoral college.

Didn’t you read the article? It says McCain could still get Pennsylvania, and how he could win.

I do not have a TV but I hear that some TV "news" employees are showing Obama winning easily.

I am reminded of the Rodney King video. The TV "news" employees repeatedly showed a portion of the video which eventually caused protests, rioting, destruction, injury, and death.

If McCain wins will the "news" that Obama had a big lead cause the same protests, rioting, destruction, injury, and death?

Is that to be the MSM employees' consolation if Obama loses?

Release all the dirt and videos on Hitler II and he won’t get two states. MSM are as much America’s enemy as Al Qaeda.

and if hussein is "winning" so greatly, why has the slander against Sarah increased, and why is hussein campaigning so hard in all those states that he already supposedly won?....

LOOKING FORWARD TO A SWEEPING MCCAIN VICTORY.....

LOOKING FORWARD TO A SWEEPING MCCAIN VICTORY.....

Me too! I'm jazzed about this election! I was walking in an Indian restaurant at lunch today, and I overheard this couple talking, and the woman said "I can't wait to see the look on Obama's face when he doesn't win the election."

It made me smile. :) (And this is in King County, Washington State of all places!)
