barnes is an inside the beltway, country club, elitist, Rockefeller type of Republican. I have many recordings of the AllStars (and barnes) making the most inane and wrong predictions... one of my favorites was when lurch was polling at 4% during the dim primary and fred proclaimed that he should drop out... that it was "impossible" for him to win the dim primary... and then there was Election night 2004 when he proclaimed that Bush had lost when Fox released the exit polling showing lurch leading... and barnes feels a tingle up his leg when obammy speaks. He's a rino of the beltway kind.
