Well, I was quite shocked by the response to the blog on 401(k) and the plan by some politicians on Capitol Hill eyeing the end of the 401(k) as we know it. The plan by Teresa Ghilarducci was scary enough for our children's money but the response by a blogger was the most scary.

This is what the blogger wrote, "In a sense, this plan is brilliant. At 3% return for the defined benefit program, the Obama administration can move inflation up to 10 - 12% and eliminate the future social security meltdown problem. Of course, we have to get rid of the cost-of-living adjustments for social security (one of which just kicked in giving rich elderly a 5% bonus while they performed no work, while most American workers are lucky to see a 1-2% wage adjustment annually).

I'm encouraged that Obama will make our senior citizens earn their paychecks. Michelle spoke at length that people will be made to work and there will be no shortages of volunteering opportunities. Let's clean up our streets, get seniors out raking leaves, picking up trash, cleaning up dog droppings in our parks, mowing city property, mentoring children in the schools and serving other useful functions. Every government dollar provided should be met with enthusiastic joy and reciprocity by the receiving citizen. An idle citizen is an unappreciated citizen."

I was livid just reading this. I cut and pasted it to my senior friends.

WHAT THE HELL IS THE BLOGGER TALKING ABOUT? We all have been doing this for 70 years, what the hell. Time for he/she to get out and clean up their own run down neighborhoods, Hell we even clean up New Orleans for them, while they sat on their BUTTS. WHO THE HELL DO they think they are talking to?

We seniors have paid our share. From the beginning of the "Great Society" we were the ones to pay that bill right up front, and from then on. We paid the 9% to 15% interest rate on our homes, and most of us paid them off. WE HAVE PAID OUR DUES.

Look BLOGGER: you get your welfare A$$ out of bed, quit your breeding,YOU get your A$$ to work for a change. Get the Hell out of that wagon and you PULL for awhile.

WE certainly appreciate that statement, as WE the LIFE LONG TAX PAYER has very much unappreciated the bountiful WELFARE citizen for low these 40 something years. In fact we hate them, the low life scuds of AMERICA, leaches, bottom feeders and any other disgusting word you can think of for people that live to live off some one else's work, then break into our homes and steal the rest of what they think they deserve.

Sorry for this rant, but that too made me furious.
