Russian-Muslim alliance picks up momentum

JEDDAH: Stronger ties between Russia and Muslim nations augur well for a world that has seen problems associated with US hegemony, according to religious, cultural and political leaders who attended the Russian-Islamic World Strategic Vision Group’s three-day forum at the Jeddah Conference Palace.

“The first eight years of the 21st century have shown us how a world dominated by one superpower can be dangerous. These eight years have demonstrated that problems cannot be solved by a brute show of force,” said Veniamin Popove, director of the Russian Center for Partnership of Civilizations.

“The balance of power is changing. The world is changing. It is no longer a unipolar world. New centers of power are emerging. Russia is one pole. The Islamic world, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is another pole. If we join these two poles then we would have a better leverage on the world stage,” Popove said.

He noted that Saudi Arabia is among the 20 nations that will discuss the fallout of the global economic crisis in the United States on Nov. 15. “Saudi Arabia has been specially invited for this crucial summit. Here is proof of the fact that the Islamic world has arrived on the world stage,” Popove said. He added that the Jeddah forum discussed issues that kept Russia and the Islamic world at bay in the past.

“We have opened a new chapter in our relationship with the Islamic world. There is political and cultural will to come together in the larger interest of humanity. Everybody now accepts that the world cannot have followers of just one religion. We all have to learn to coexist and this is basically the message of the forum,” Popove said.

Participants discussed in depth Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah’s initiative on interfaith and intercultural dialogue. They stressed the need for people of different faiths and cultures to peacefully coexist side by side, and to shun violence, intolerance and terrorism. They commended the constructive efforts made by King Abdullah for peaceful coexistence between civilizations and for rejecting the notion of a clash between them.

Speaking at the concluding session, Prince Turki ibn Muhammad ibn Saud Al-Kabeer, deputy minister for multilateral relations, felt the voice of reason is bound to prevail in this critical era. “Dialogue among us has become a vital necessity in view of human development. We need to cooperate in a constructive manner to build our common edifice and achieve our mutual goals and objectives.”

Prince Turki expressed hope that the ideas discussed during the forum would be translated into practical programs and projects that promote peaceful coexistence among different peoples and civilizations.

He called for the promotion of an Islamic-Russian dialogue in view of the great potential of these two civilizations and their contribution to help mankind prosper.

A communiqué issued at the end of the meeting called for the need to support cultural centers on both sides “to create significant space for cultural exchange and cooperation, and to increase rapprochement and mutual understanding.” It called for supporting Russia’s proposal to establish a consultative council on religions at the United Nations.

The forum appealed to the world media to project the importance of dialogue and disseminate a culture of respect for religions.

As a framework for international relations, the communiqué urged educational and research institutions in the Russian Federation and the Islamic world to attract more researchers, and carry out studies that promote human values and disseminate the culture of tolerance and understanding through dialogue.

Delegates said prizes should be instituted to honor personalities and bodies that make outstanding contributions in promoting relations between Russia and the Islamic world.

The meetings have been boosted by the resurgence of the Russian Orthodox Church since the end of the Soviet Union, which had long made Muslim leaders wary due to its attempts to subversively promote communism in the Muslim world and its war in Afghanistan.

Western nations, particularly the European Union, are likely to view a Russian-Muslim alliance with a certain degree of skepticism, as the Russian Federation’s recent invasion of Georgia along with its questionable actions with other former Soviet republics, such as Ukraine, on energy issues may suggest the creation of a new super alliance that could impact the West’s access to energy.

Such issues were not discussed at the forum, but in the lead-up to the next forum to be held in Kuwait, Muslim leaders certainly will be watching global events with interest and optimism in hopes of a more advantageous shuffling of global power in the future.

The only thing it’s demonstrated to me is that the world needs to be purged of islamofascists and communists, not matter where they reside.

The USA flat out took down the USSR, without firing a single shot.

"We are sorry, at this time we are experiencing some minor technical difficulties, to be resolved very soon. The Muslim ass kicking will commence / continue on or about 5 Nov 2008. Stay tuned."

This can do nothing else but lead to something poetic. One group of untrustworthy murdering backstabbers, forming an alliance with another group who are just as untrustworthy and murderous...Both wan ting the same goal for themselves...How long can it be, before they start their running men, knives in hand, within each others sleeping camps?

Biographical Information
King Abdullah bin Al-Hussein
* His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein is the 43rd generation direct descendant of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). He assumed his constitutional powers as Monarch of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on February 7th, 1999, the day his father, the late King Hussein, passed away.
Born in Amman on January 30th, 1962, King Abdullah II is the eldest son of His Majesty the late King Hussein and Her Royal Highness Princess Muna Al Hussein. He began his primary education at the Islamic Educational College in Amman, and later attended St. Edmund’s School in Surrey, England. For his secondary education, he attended Eaglebrook School and Deerfield Academy in the United States of America.
King Abdullah II joined the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom in 1980, and was commissioned as Second Lieutenant in 1981. He was later appointed Reconnaissance Troop Leader in the 13th/18th Battalion of the Royal Hussars (British Army) in (West) Germany and England. In 1982, King Abdullah II attended Oxford University where he completed a one-year Special Studies course in Middle Eastern Affairs. Upon returning home, King Abdullah II joined the Jordanian Armed Forces and served as Platoon Commander and Company Second-in-Command in the 40th Armored Brigade. In 1985, he attended the Armored Officers Advanced Course at Fort Knox, Kentucky, USA. A year later, he became Commander of a Tank Company in the 91st Armored Brigade of the Jordanian Armed Forces holding the rank of Captain. He also served with the Royal Jordanian Airforce Anti-Tank Wing where he received his wings as well as his qualifications as a Cobra Attack Pilot.
In 1987, King Abdullah II attended the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. as a Mid-Career Fellow. He completed an Advanced Study and Research program in International Affairs, part of the ‘Master of Science in Foreign Service’ program.
King Abdullah II, thereafter, resumed his military career where he held various positions, among them Commander of the Royal Jordanian Special Forces and Special Operations Commander. From January 1989 until October 1989 King Abdullah II was the 2nd Company Commander in the 17th Tank Battalion, and from October 1989 until January 1991 he was 2nd in Command of the 17th Tank Battalion, during which time, in 1990, he attended the Royal Staff College in Camberley in the United Kingdom. He was then promoted to the rank of Major. From January 1991 until January 1992 he was Armored Corps Representative in the Office of the Inspector General of the Jordanian Armed Forces.
King Abdullah became Battalion Commander of the Second Armored Cavalry Regiment in January 1992. In 1993, he was in the 40th Brigade with the rank of Colonel, and was made Deputy Commander of the Jordanian Special Forces. In 1994, he was made Commander of Special Forces with the rank of Brigadier and in 1996 he reorganized the Special Forces and other Elite Units into the Special Operations Command. King Abdullah was promoted to Major-General in 1998, and in June / July of the same year attended a defense resources management course in Monterrey Naval Post Graduate School.
In addition to his career as an army officer, King Abdullah II served Jordan many times in the official capacity of Regent in the absence of the late King Hussein, and regularly traveled on official missions. He was proclaimed Crown Prince on the 24th of January 1999 by a Royal Decree. He had also assumed the position of Crown Prince at birth by a Royal Decree until April 1st, 1965.
Since his ascension to the throne, King Abdullah II has continued his late father’s commitment to creating a strong and positive moderating role for Jordan within the Arab region and the world, and has worked towards the establishment of a just and lasting comprehensive solution to the Arab-Israeli conflict. King Abdullah II is committed to building on the late King’s legacy to further institutionalize democratic and political pluralism in Jordan. He has exerted extensive effort to insuring sustainable levels of economic growth and social development aimed at improving the standard of living of all Jordanians. He is also working towards modernizing Jordan’s information technology and educational systems.
Under King Abdullah’s reign, Jordan was admitted to the World Trade Organization, and ratified agreements for the establishment of a Free Trade Area with the United States of America, the European Union, the European Free Trade Association countries, and sixteen Arab countries.

If you continue to investigate King Abdullah II on your own; you will find that he is an extremely charismatic leader that has wide ranging vision for modernization in the Middle East, and like me you will probably be mesmerized to the point of denial as he is very convincing in his role, and I think may genuinely perceive at least from a secular or humanistic viewpoint the historic importance of that role. He may also however be aware of this role from a spiritual viewpoint as well; at least from an Islamic perspective.
Quoting King Abdullah:
“It is not rocket science; everybody knows what needs to be done. We all know to the minutest detail what is required of Israelis, Palestinians and Arabs. The problem is, we have to make sure that the vehicle moves forward. The road map is explicit. And it needs, obviously, the strong role of the United States, the international community, which is represented by the Quartet which is America, the United Nations, the Europeans, the Russians and the rest of us in the Middle East. We all know what needs to be done. What needs to be done on the ground is implementing the road map. Once we do, then we will finally have peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians and the Israelis and the Arabs.” From a Q & A session after a speech given at “The Commonwealth Club of California”- April 16th 2004

Before you buy into his outstanding moral character; remember the BIBLICAL STANDARD FOR REAL PEACE...
Isaiah 9:7a - Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
ANY peace apart from a peace that comes as a result of the increase of the TRUE GOVERNMENT OF JESUS CHRIST will only be a FALSE peace.
As will be born out over time the intensity of this man’s vision for peace (which EXACTLY dovetails the plan of the Beast) will eventually fail and will cause a great backlash against Jews and Christians.
Remember this is a characteristic of the kingdom that Nebuchadnezzar saw... that this beast because of the wide range of belief systems would be “partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.”

Based on His discussion at the Clinton Global Initiative six months after this was first published King Abdullah Hussein confirms by His own actions that he is moving towards fulfilling this role: CLICK HERE

NOTE: ON A PERSONAL LEVEL; I find it hard as a minister of the gospel to look at someone like King Abdullah prophetically and condemn him to a future role as vile as that of the false prophet; as he seems like a descent man. So I am compelled to pray for his soul; and if it be in the Father’s will that he fulfill this role; then His will be done.

After the Arab Israeli War in ‘67, the USSR figured out that no matter how much Arab military got thrown at Israel, Israel would always win.

Since that bit of enlightenment, the USSR made it part of their foreign policy to offer any and all aid to any and all “anti-western” terror organizations. Aid to include training of terrorists, sharing of intel, logistic support, transport support, infiltration support via false docs and the manufacturing of cover stories, etc etc.

One of the primary points of contact for this was the North Korean Special Purpose Force regiment that was stationed in Madagascar.

All the terror training camps throughout the middle east had Nork and Soviet trainers running the show for the entirety of the Cold War.

During the Yom Kippur War in ‘73, the Norks even had pilots flying for the Arab side. This is where the Norks battle tested the concepts of Air Ambush (multiple aircraft flying close enough together that they appeared to be a single craft on radar) and the 10g turn-in to break missile lock.

The Russians and their proxies have been neck deep in Arab terrorism from its beginning.

Interesting, Grimmy. The KORCOMs on the other side of the world flew MiG 19s and some say MiG 21s for the NVNAF once. They weren't very good though and cost the zips a bunch of A/C. Splashed 14 was the scuttlebutt.

From what I've heard about the Six Day War and the Yom Kippur war, the Arabs took decimating losses from the IAF as well. But WTH, the Soviets were in the business of exporting fighter A/C to Third World air forces........and business was good. If you get my drift.

The Norks were sent to fly in the Yom Kippur War expressly to test the new engagement concepts. I dont have any info on whether or not they managed to score any shoot-downs, though.

Primarily, my comment was meant to give a bit of perspective on the long, deep, constant and consistent Russian involvement in organizing, assisting, training, motivating, supplying and supporting Arab terrorism since its coming-out as a problem for the West in modern times.

And a bit of a reminder that the same evil scum that ran the KGB back in the USSR daze, still run that country today, both from the gov side and the black market side.

Russia never stopped being our enemy. Russia never stopped supporting those who seek our destruction.
