Blood Will Run in the Streets'--
It seems that the final days of the presidential campaign have made Erica Jong and her friends more than a little anxious.
A few days ago, Jong, the author and self-described feminist, gave an interview to the Italian daily Corriere della Sera, the choicest bits of which were brought to my attention by the reliably sharp-eyed Christian Rocca, the U.S. correspondent of Il Foglio, who published excerpts on his Camillo blog. Basically, Jong says she her fear that Obama might lose the election has developed into an "obsession. A paralyzing terror. An anxious fever that keeps you awake at night." She also says that her friends Jane Fonda and Naomi Wolf are extremely worried that Obama will be sabotaged by Republican dirty tricks, and that if an Obama loss indeed comes to pass, the result will be a second American Civil War.
Here's a translation of Jong's more spirited quotes to the Milan-based Corriere, as selected by Rocca.
"The record shows that voting machines in America are rigged."

I wonder, sometimes, if these people really do, in fact, actually believe the stuff they spout. Or are they so afraid of rejection by their peer group that they literally try to out bash each other and come up with as crazy a scenario that they can to get attention. A lot of it is absolutely insane and much of it sophomoric. No really thinking, reasoning individual could actually believe a lot of this crap.............

That infomercial last night was just down right CREEPY! If that doesn't open peoples eyes to what an arrogant, flip-flopping, manipulating, egotistical liar Obama is.. I don't know what will.. If McCain doesn't win it will be because of Massive Liberal Fraud and Corruption! The Military vote is being suppressed AGAIN.. Republican registrations are being tossed in the garbage by the likes of ACORN volunteers.. Teachers are brainwashing their students of voter age then driving them to the polls to vote during school hours! The fact that the race is so close is a miracle!

What will the left fight with? Molotive Cocktails?
If they do, aim for the bottle.
After you set it off in their hand, let them burn for a while, then shoot then between the eyes. Don't hurry about it.

As I said, let them burn for a while. People who are on fire tend to lose their enthusiasm for for moving around after a while.

“She also laments that not all of America’s men of letters share her devotion to Obama.
“’Tom Wolfe and John Updike are men of the right and Philip Roth is at this point a hermit who leads a monastic life in Connecticut, far from everything and everybody.’”
That’s because Wolfe, Updike and Roth are real literary figures rather than drug-addled pop-culture poseurs.

'twas back in the pre-Web days of Usenet, when people of every philosophy and every location could first swap ideas instantly with everyone everywhere on every subject, that the thought hit me like a 2x4: "these people actually believe this stuff!"

A peaceful secession sounds good to me.
Texas would be a good start and then get other states to follow. It does not matter who wins this election, I do not want to be subject to liberal racial preference laws or their socialism any longer.
To: Mr. Mojo
Why would they have a second civil war?
They get racial preferences, they get welfare and food stamps. They have gotten loans for expensive homes that they could not earn and now their loans will be paid off. Did I forget to mention that they get all kinds of different government aid, free education, libraries, roads, museums, free concerts, etc.
One more reason that there will not be a CW2 is that they would lose big time.
