Looks like the kid got a October surprise.
To: princess leah
The parent is probably the one putting the kid up to stealing the sign in the first place.

The original posting I saw on this had the parent claiming that the child just wanted to see how the sign was put together. From the video which is now available, it seems that he could have found that out by looking at the Obama sign in his hand. Dems: they know no limits, no boundaries, never heard of class or good taste or morals.

Should have said, “Next time, it will be the whole yard, not the sign.”

My question as well.
No normal 9 years gets the idea to steal a political sign from a neighboring yard night after night. The parent had to have instructed the kid to do so.
To: RedDogzRule
Likely encouraged by the parent to steal the sign in the first place.
Agreed, as evidenced by the fact that the kid told his loser-father that he had been shocked. "Hey Junior, why is that McCain sign still up?" "Honest Pop, I went over like you told me but I got zapped."
When I was a kid if I had told my dad I got zapped in the neighbors yard he'd have asked me why i was there then spanked me to boot.

Please, all McCain sign posters, HOOK YOUR SIGNS UP TO AN ELECTRIC FENCE TRANSFORMER. You can’t be sued by idiots who touch your electric fence, so you shouldn’t have problems with a sign.
Teach these idiot liberals and their indoctrinated youth a lesson.

Not only that, but where on earth would a nine year old kid get an Obama sign to put in the place of the McCain sign, if his father didn’t give it to him?
He might vandalize a sign, but he certainly wouldn’t go out and replace it.

AGREED!
It was a dog fence, for goodness sake, it’s not like he gave the kid a real jolt.
Bet that kid won’t do that again.

A short time later, a neighbor came to Turschak's house and complained his 9-year-old son had been "electrocuted" in his yard.Next time don't exploit your kid by forcing him to commit a crime for your twisted views. Quite honestly, I think someone should call CPS on the parent of that 9 year old.

Someone should point out to the kid that the only way to defeat the electrification is by urinating on the sign

You hit a nerve with me. Regarding the “shame and embarrassment” comment. I have told many people that the biggest change I have seen since when I was very young to now is that nothing has changed much - people still lie, steal, have premarital sex, and sin, in general (in other words, “nothing new under the sun” as stated in Ecclesiastes); BUT... people now have no shame or embarrassment or sense of decency about their wrongs - they do it shamelessly and blatantly. This is a problem. Of course, we all do bad things but having a conscience and feeling remorse or a sense of shame, which are all healthy, seem to be lacking greatly these days.
And, of course, you hit on another point. The boy’s parents are exactly why this kid is messed up at age 9. Obviously, he’s modeling the bad behavior before him.

The parent/s of the little rugrat should be charged with child endangerment, child neglect, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, to name just a few ideas off the top of my head.
To: pissant
Sounds like the parents need some joltin’ as well.
