LEXINGTON, Ky. – Two men have been arrested for hanging a Barack Obama effigy from a tree on the University of Kentucky campus.
University police say 22-year-old student Joe Fischer and 21-year-old Hunter Bush turned themselves in Thursday afternoon. Both men were jailed Thursday on charges of disorderly conduct, burglary and theft.
Jail officials did not know who the men's attorneys were.
UK Police Interim Chief Joe Monroe says university police interviewed the men, who described the incident as a "stunt that had gotten out of hand." The effigy was found hanging from a tree with a noose around its neck Wednesday morning.
Monroe says the men told police they decided to do it after seeing reports about a Sarah Palin effigy.

Well when we heard some numbnuts in CA had hung Sarah Palin in effigy that if it had been Obama he’d been arrested. Guess we were right.

But yet it’s okay to hang an effigy of a white woman in West Los Angles for Halloween.

But it’s *art* when someone posts a likeness of Palin and people pretend to shoot her?

I'd love to hear how the (no doubt Democrat) DA goes from hanging a dummy of a dummy in a tree to burglary and theft. When it's Palin our modern Gestapo thinks it's a hoot, and when it's "The One" they think it's burglary? Even if I tried, I couldn't make up stuff this absurd about the Socialist and his followers.
So, if they didn't steal the "effigy" from somewhere, a stunt (which some would defend as protected "political speech") is now enforceable as "disorderly conduct?"
Stupid kids! They SHOULD have called it "art." They could have kneeled down in front of the corpse and pretended to cry. Then it's "performance art." That's even better. College kids should know about these things.
Yup, part of the communist conversion we will be facing. Don't hide the fact that that white woman was Palin, a VP nomination.
