People all over the world are horrified and puzzled by the Jonestown, Guyana atrocity. Questions are being asked: Who was the Rev. Jim Jones?
What kind of religion did he teach? Why did he order the murder and suicide of over 900 of his followers? [snip]
Our media have concealed, misrepresented, or downplayed the key element in the philosophy of Jim Jones.
He was a long-time dedicated Marxist communist who admired totalitarian communist dictatorships such as the Soviet Union and Cuba so much that he built one of his own in Guyana.

Hard to believe it’s happening in America.
Jones was a social activist who had originally hoped to bring Communism to America.
He also promoted himself primarily on the backs of credulous, poorly-educated blacks. However, he was the darling of the media for a long time for his leftist rhetoric and give-away schemes. I was living in SF when this happened, and it was a real shock to many of them, I think, when the whole thing collapsed.

The people who are still following Obama are hostile black racists, terrorists, homosexuals, communists, anarchists, Kos lunatics, abortionists and Jonestown types.

HAD those craven editors at the Examiner not surrendered to Jim Jones and allowed the investigation to continue, the "rest of the story" would have seen daylight and over 900 could have had a chance.Other SF papers were afraid to investigate.

had a Temple as his stage
gave speeches in which he talked about the injustices of the US, especially with regards to Blacks and how US government was coming to get them, to destroy them.
did not like to have disparity between the rich and the poor
had the support of Leftist leaders
had a seat on San Francisco's housing commission
had a supportive relationship with radicals like Angela Davis; Russell Means of the American Indian Movement received a donation,
Jones and his temple had connections with members of the Symbionese Liberation Army (which had kidnapped Patty Hearst)
promised to bring CHANGE to the world.
