WASHINGTON - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said Saturday he didn't know that one of his relatives was living in the United States illegally and believes the appropriate laws should be followed.
The Associated Press found that Obama's aunt had been instructed to leave the country four years ago by an immigration judge who rejected her request for asylum from her native Kenya. The woman, Zeituni Onyango, is living in public housing in Boston and is the half-sister of Obama's late father.

The article states, “Following the revelation, Obama’s campaign issued a statement saying that Senator Obama had no knowledge of his aunt’s immigration status, and that he believed all appropriate laws should be followed in dealing with the issue. “
Further in the article it states, “She is a large character in his best-selling memoir Dreams From My Father.”
Senator Obama has betrayed and abandonded his ‘favorite aunt!’ never helping her to gain citizenship, which as a senator he could have done easily. Then he throws her to the press and tells the immigration dept...’do what you want with her!’ What kind of inhumanity is this man’s character made of? What kind of heartless animal is Obama?!
If he would do this to his favorite aunt, what will he do to us?
obama is pushing people to vote early instead of voting day because he wants those votes in the bag before more stuff comes on on him.
Obama has to be the most inexperienced, most ignorant and most dumbest man to have ever ran for president and if the media actually did their job he would not be the nominee

His depths of perception are suspect, for sure, as more than a few incidents have revealed.
If Michelle didn’t dress him for success, he’d still be wearing Kenyan tribal attire and working for ACORN (actually , he still is.. it seems).

When first I heard about the Undocumented Auntie, I thought I’d finally figure out how this spread-the-wealth thing works: The government taxes Joe the Plumber to fund public housing agencies that illegally provide welfare and accommodation to illegal immigrants thereby freeing up their cash flow to enable them to make illegal campaign contributions to any nephew who might chance to be running for president and get him elected so he can tax Joe the Plumber even more to fund even more public housing for even more illegal immigrants to make even more illegal campaign contributions... Etc.
But this reader looks at Aunt Zeituni & Co in more of a positive way:
It seems like the ultimate modern global economy - First we outsourced our jobs, and then savings, and now we outsource the voting and campaign fund raising. Go USA!

I know for a fact that when you apply for legal residence, you must have a sponsor, who is a resident, who promises to assume all financial responsibility for you until you become a citizen. As a sponsor,you sign a legal agreement with the US government that you will be responsible, and prove that you have enough income to do so.
She must have had someone do this ( I wonder who?) to even apply for legal residence. She apparently did not receive it, hence the deportation order.
Bottom line:He knew.
