I just watched(local TV) a lady who "acquired" a position point a remote control at a projection screen to control a projector that was in the opposite direction at the back of the room.

To make matters worse , she is the head of a gov. group on "tech" development.

It's almost like they try to be stupid.

When she finally figured out the projector was not the wall, she advanced the slide in the wrong direction.

Our government at work.

Actually, projector remotes are specifically built with powerful IR emitters, that do allow the signals to bounce off any solid surface.
